I keep track of this as a component of Educational change I am working on as this is a huge factor in poor performance and induced issues limiting forward progress and performance overall

I was talking to a judge in the hall of the courthouse many years ago. He was depressed after sentencing a string of young men, almost all minorities, charged with various crimes, quite a few felonies.
He said almost always the only parents who showed were women. Then he said, “Things are bad, but just wait 20-30 years when their kids are grown. I’m glad I’m retiring soon.”

Much of the responsibility for the plague of single mothers can be laid at the doorsteps of the Democrats, Hollywood and TV, which lionized `single motherhood’. But you won’t see the NFL protesting them.
I can recall seeing TV hosts introducing a young women as: “She’s a single mother!” and then perfunctory applause.

I agree, but it someone even mentions requiring that the father be identified before welfare benefits are granted to an unwed mother, that causes a political ____storm from the left. That should be a requirement and the father should be required to supply some amount of support.

1) Get married, get a job and raise the kids.
