The American Psychiatric Association (APA) cautioned its members and all psychiatrists against using "armchair psychiatry" as a "political tool" when it came to the mental fitness of President Donald Trump, the Washington Free Beacon reported Friday.
"We at the APA call for an end to psychiatrists providing professional opinions in the media about public figures whom they have not examined, whether it be on cable news appearances, books, or in social media," the organization said in a statement issued this week.

“Armchair psychiatry” does have its advantages. At least Pres. Trump wasn’t put on 15 pharmaceutical drugs. One to treat whatever his supposed problem is and the other 14 to treat the side effects of the one that was prescribed before it.

Fact: The “head meds” are changing so rapidly that a psychiatrist must essentially become re-educated every six months.
That could drive one off the edge.

Democrats invited CRACKPOT LEE to Capitol Hill to brief (INDOCTRINATE) them on HER BS LIES ABOUT Trump’s mental health.
SHE SHOULD LOSE HER LICENSE TO PRACTICE MEDICINE, ALONG WITH ALL HER CO-SIGNERS AND THOSE “CONGRESS-CRITTERS” DESERVE TO BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE.

Celebrities often have a professionally crafted public persona. You can’t psychoanalyze a facade.
She’s doubtless suffering from TDS, poor thing. That might tell us nothing about how well she cares for the average person with a mental illness, where Trump isn’t a factor. But it sure makes her look stupid.
I certainly second what the APA said. Most of the people giving their opinion are hard core lefties who know it's unethical, Goldwater Rule, etc, but they don't care. . the ole' end justifies the means bit.
The points of the article are well taken. I'm surprised the APA made the proclamation as most of the higher ups in the APA are lefties.

Eggs ackly. Public figures and actors often have a public personality that differs greatly from their real one.
This Brandy Lee other shrinks should be sanctioned for actions like this and their licenses revoked by their states, diagnosing people without a face to face examination is grossly unethical.
Therefore, we advise our members to to double down on "Trump's not crazy, he's EVIL!"
