MINNESOTA KINDA LIKES DONALD TRUMP
Power Line ^ | 01/15/17

Traditionally deep-blue Minnesota is trending red; one sign of this is that Donald Trump lost the state to Hillary Clinton by only a point and a half. Yesterday the Star Tribune released its latest Minnesota Poll. The paper’s headline was “Minnesotans divided over Trump; majority sees him as temperamentally unfit, dishonest.” But if you look at the actual poll results, they tell a different story.

I could see Trump winning this state in 2020.

I bet Trump is not wasting one second thinking about winning Minnesotans over politically.

The poll shows that Minnesota likes Trump as much as they did in Nov. 2016.

That suggests to me that Trump is still winning in WI, MI and PA.

From what I’ve heard the Twin Cities have been absolutely overrun with refugees from sh*thole countries.

Trump likely resonates there.

D H. Clinton 46.9% 1,366,676
R D. Trump 45.4% 1,322,891
L G. Johnson 3.9% 112,944
I E. McMullin 1.8% 53,080
G J. Stein 1.3% 36,957

I believe Trump would have won Minnesota if not for 3rd party candidates. I believe he would have gotten the most of the Johnson and McMullin voters. And Hillary wouldn’t have gotten all the Stein voters either.

We really need to push for a strong liberal 3rd party candidate.

The way to win the Midwest is to show voters how they have been lied to for decades.

If the economy continues to be strong and Trump avoids too many self-inflicted wounds, he is well-positioned to carry Minnesota in 2020.

Wowzer ...

I’ll go a step farther. I believe Minnesota, New Hampshire and very possibly Virginia were stolen from him.

Going to bed election night ‘16, I thought it possible he’d carry MN but came up a little short. Don’t see a repeat of that in ‘20. More than 1.5% will have benefited from his presidency, and even more will have seen the benefit of him and his agenda to the country.

I did not know UT’s Egg McMuffin got enough MN votes to keep Trump from winning the state.

I live most of the time in Michigan now and I feel that President Trump is in good shape, but time will tell. I was a volunteer in '16 at my county headquarters, and don't see any downturn in attitudes.

Candidate Trump came to Minnesota maybe once? Right before the election he said he was swinging by the airport the next day. Something like 20,000 people showed up. If he put ome effort into it he could win.

People here in the twin cities are incredibly tired of being overrun by the skinnies and illegals. They call it Somaiapolis for a reason. Other smaller cities are also being inundated with them. St Cloud is now a complete shithole because of them, same with numerous other smaller cities.

Doesn’t matter what mud the Lamestream throws. If the economy is hot he wins period.

Recall the Dow cracked a record 25,000 a short while ago:

Here are the futures for tomorrow:

Dow +156.00 / +0.60%

Level 25,957.00

Looks like another record due shortly

That would be a good idea, except the liberals have control of the media there. And as with my liberal-socialist sister who live in Minneapolis, facts don't matter. The only way she would change her mind is if reality hit her between the eyes with a 2 X 4.

Much of MN outside the cities is rural and it’s Trump country.

I had the chance to spend a night in the hospital in Minneapolis last month. There are so many hijabs in Minneapolis you’d think you were in London, Amsterdam, or Malmo.

That said, I had a young Ethiopian nurse help me and she was one of the kindest, sweetest, most polite people I’ve ever met anywhere. She was the sort of girl you’d be proud to take home to meet the parents.
