ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia — President Trump’s dismissal of Haiti, El Salvador and African nations as “s-hole countries” whose inhabitants are not desirable for U.S. immigration shocked people around the world and provoked swift condemnation.
“The African Union Commission is frankly alarmed at statements by the president of the United States when referring to migrants of African countries and others in such contemptuous terms,” said Ebba Kalondo, the spokeswoman for the African Union.
The reaction from the United Nations human rights spokesman, Rupert Colville, was uncharacteristically blunt. He described the remark as “racist.”
In Haiti, people took to Twitter to share pictures of their country — verdant green hills, palm trees in the sunset, and sparkling turquoise water.
“Hey #S-HolePresident!” wrote Harold Isaac. “Here is what my #s-hole looks like.”
The deputy secretary general of the African National Congress, the party once led by Nelson Mandela, hit back at Trump’s comment during a news conference in South Africa.
“Ours is not a s-hole country. Neither is Haiti or any other country in distress,” Jessie Duarte said.

I don’t know much about African Countries, but in Haiti they eat dirt. To live.
We had a missionary speak at our church, she had photos and examples, they take mud and add salt. Yummy. I’d say that’s one sign of being a s*** hole.
Africa has TRILLIONS in natural resources. They have a CONTINENT. They have abused or kicked out the most productive people (whites) and can’t seem to understand how to govern or be civil.
(I would) withhold all U$ foreign aid to all these countries until they admit they a sh*thole country.

Our country has sat on its ass for decades when it pertains to immigration and is still sitting on its ass. One major example: we have not even determined what our national language is. It’s only because of DJT and world terrorism that we have begun to pay attention to whom we are letting in our country. We are split between Rats and Repubs on that subject. We keep telling ourselves that we are a nation of immigrants and use that argument as a crutch to let anyone and his dogs in. We have never worried about who and what we let in and now it has turned into a racial problem. Why not return to the immigration policy of the 1950’s which was strictly based on the merits that the immigrant had to offer? If we went back to those days, we would admit mainly Europeans and Asians because the rest of the world would not be able to compete for an entry ticket. So we are back at square one. What was your question again? I am sure you’re smarter than I am. You fix it.
Haiti is actually a destination for female sex tourists from Europe who are old and homely.

I laughed at this...I worked overseas for 15-years on large mine construction projects...we regularly referred to our host countries as, “TWSH”, Third World, S, Holes.
The conversation would routinely go, “Well, wonder what TWSH we’ll end up in next”?
And I thought only we talked like this!! LOL.

It’s a combination of things, truly. I know most Jews and Christians don’t agree on that thing Christians call original sin, which is what set up the need for a Savior. But it’s certainly plausible that the government of a bad country is in some kind of willing symbiosis of evil with its people.
And the reason I mention this is that if this is so, simply knocking that government down wouldn’t help. Because the people would then clamor for another one like it. They need to go through a learning process like what only God can set up.
