Joe Arpaio: Obama's birth certificate is a 'phony document'

Controversial former Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Wednesday called former President Barack Obama's birth certificate a "phony document" in an interview on CNN.

"No doubt about it, we have the evidence, I'm not going to go into all the details, yeah, it's a phony document," Arpaio said on "Cuomo Primetime."

Arpaio announced Tuesday that he is running for the Arizona US Senate seat currently occupied by Sen. Jeff Flake, who is retiring from Congress at the end of his term.

He was a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump during the campaign, and was pardoned by the President in August. The former Maricopa County sheriff was convicted for defying a court order to stop racially profiling Latinos, and he has been widely criticized for his hard-line stances on immigration.

Arpaio has touted "birtherism" in the past, and, when speaking to CNN's Chris Cuomo on Wednesday evening, said he has proof that Obama's birth certificate is fake.

"We have the evidence, nobody will talk about it, nobody will look at it, and anytime you want to come down or anybody we'll be glad to show you the evidence," Arpaio said.

Cuomo pressed Arpaio again on the topic: "So you believe that President Obama's birth certificate is a phony?"

"No doubt about it," Arpaio said.

Remember when the old CNN President said that Hawaii can’t produce birth certificates, so the issue is dead. Then in 2011, Obama showed it, even though it was fake.

Joe and Zullo have to push it until congress finally is forced to do an investigation of there own. It is not very hard. Most of the evidence has already been collected and examined by Well known expert examiners. Affidavits have already been signed. The proof of fraud is indisputable. The American people need to know that they have been shammed by there representatives and the MSM.

This exchange simply did not happen. No one looked harder than I for this when the rumor first appeared. I am not going to get into it too much at this point in my life but think about these points.

• Keyes hated Zippo and I am sure would have remembered the exchange.
• There was an audience and personnel present and no one remembered the exchange.
• And at that point in time who was aware of his heritage?
• And if Keyes knew of heritage he would not of let it go.

It's never too late to know the truth.

Just like it's not too late to know the truth about email-gate, or benghazi-gate. Even if it take 100 years, the country should know the truth about the usurper.

Otherwise, we risk condoning the deep state continuing to go rouge and keeping secrets from the citizens we otherwise have a right to know.

I would agree with that sentiment, but it certainly isn’t something that anyone running for a U.S. Senate seat in 2017 should consider a priority. Outside of FreeRepublic I’ll bet you couldn’t find more than 5% of any random group of voters who even gives a damn about it. Heck — one of Donald Trump’s greatest accomplishments is that after a year in office we’ve almost forgotten all about this mutant who was in the White House before him.
