The U.S. territory is struggling with shortages of food and medical supplies, and a full 45% of residents still don’t have power.

Did they not cancel a contract to restore power?

Are they so corrupt that they would go down?

Is it time to give Puerto Rico back to Spain?

Don't know the details. Was there in early Dec. Hotels still closed in tourist areas. Stores in tourist areas with generators on the sidewalk to stay open. Sad, especially talking to residents. Don't think I spoke to government or quasi government utility employees.

BTW, to you and the other give them back to Spain comments. Doubt Spain would take them. And there's not much precedent in the US for cutting them loose. The votes are close, but they do choose to stay. But we could. It would give them an excuse to renig on their debt. I'm sure China would finance them going forward. A friendly government, almost as close to the US as Cuba. Would appeal to China.
