The illegal immigrant who discharged a firearm and killed 32-year-old Kate Steinle was sentenced to three years in prison Friday, but he won’t be spending any more time in state jail.
Jose Ines Garcia Zarate was acquitted of Steinle’s murder in December, but a jury convicted him of the lesser charge of a felon in possession of a firearm.
Since he has been detained in the San Francisco jail since his arrest on July 1, 2015, he was credited for time served.
Garcia Zarate will be on state parole for 48 months and will be transferred to federal custody.
He’ll be teaching at NYU soon.

Why is he being transferred to fed custody. He was acquitted of murder and thus under California state sanctuary law he need not be transferred to federal custody. Trump should instruct ICE to transport him to the California state house and drop him off there with a gun.
California and other blue states seek every opportunity to make the possession of guns as difficult and limited as possible. Yet, they apparently couldn’t care less when a gun is used by a member of a protected class in the commission of a crime. Seems to me if one is truly interested in stopping the violent use of guns, one would focus on actual criminals who use them...
But then again, if one is a RAT, then one doesn't give a shirt. One only cares about disarming the citizenry.

In 10 years almost half of the southern border will have some sort of fencing, up about 50% from what we have now. In 10 years! That would require funding from 5 different Congresses and take longer than even if Trump had a completed a second term.
