Why didn’t Gowdy stay strong? Why didn’t Sessions stay strong? What a disappointment these two have been? Grassley looks principled, Sessions looks intimidated. Gowdy looks compromised.

This all brings back memories of when I was 12 years old (35 years ago) and realizing for the first time that “professional” wrestling was all staged and choreographed before each match! I still remember my jaw dropping when I learned that the “winner” was always preordained and chosen by Vince McMann.

I tried, in vain, to explain this to my family down in the DC area (most of them “professionals” that are highly educated). They scoffed at the whole idea and literally repeated the talking points straight out of CNN. So damn frustrating.....

I watched Trey Gowdy say this weekend, that Paul Ryan is not just the only man but the perfect man for the speaker job.
