Trump says Arizona-bound John McCain will return if needed to cast tax cut vote
Washington Times ^ | December 18, 2017 | S.A. Miller

President Trump said Sunday that Sen. John McCain, who is battling brain cancer, would return to vote for tax reform this week if needed to pass the bill, though the senator’s office later forecasted a January return to Washington.

Mr. McCain had been undergoing treatment for a viral infection at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington but Sunday returned to Arizona to spend Christmas with his family, according to the senator’s office.

Mr. Trump said he had spoken with Mr. McCain’s wife, Cindy, and that the senator would be available for the vote, which is expected as soon as Wednesday.

“I wished her well. I wish John well,” Mr. Trump told reporters at the White House. “They’ve headed back [to Arizona]. But I understand he’ll come if we ever needed his vote, which hopefully we won’t.”

Senate Republicans have a thin 52-seat majority but the leaders believe they have enough votes to pass the tax overhaul without the Arizona Republican.

“But the word is John will come back if we need his vote,” Mr. Trump said. It’s too bad. He’s going through very tough time, there’s no question about it. But he will come back if we need his vote.”

It's his mission to screw over the country, especially Trump, as much as possible before he kicks the bucket.

Unless...unless McCain looked out his window and was granted a vision...

I abdolutely disagree that oncolgy is a racket:
-—my mom had breast cancer in 2000, had surgery and chemo, has been cancer-free for 17 years and is in good health
—my oldest sister had breast cancer in 2002, had surgery and chemo, has been cancer free for 15 years and is in good health
—my first cousin had breast cancer in 2012, had surgery and chemo, is cancer free and in good health
—a dear friend at work had stage 4 lung cancer, diagnosed in 2013, went through chemo and radiation, is currently cancer-free an is in good health

I too know of women who survived breast cancer with surgery and chemo.

“begin to look at alternatives and reject the medical model”

Ok just don’t start that medical marijuana is the cure for cancer and everything else. If I wanted to read that crap I’d be looking at FakeBook!!

Well, we have some duplicitous RINO senators who aren’t very trustworthy. The good thing is that if, for some reason, the Conference Committee version doesn’t pass, the House can always go back to the version the Senate passed earlier, vote/pass it and forward to President Trump. Perhaps not ideal but better than nothing.

“John McCain will return if needed to cast tax cut vote”

On a gurney? I can’t believe he is still cognizant. My husband only lived 15 days after his diagnosis of Stage 4, inoperable GBM and was in a coma-like state for most of those days. No time for chemo.

I am with you roo roo bird, my own hub had two months of the harshest chemo available before a bone marrow transplant. It’s been six years now.

They do double blind studies, you know, and they play the odds. No one pretended to us that it would be easy or he had a guarantee of life. They just gave him the ACCURATE odds. Lots of factors involved.

I think it’s fine for a person to opt out of chemo etc but to act like the medical profession is killing people is overall stupid. There is a reason the richest come HERE for cancer treatment. The hospital we went to, one of the top ten in the country, had lots of private pays in hijabs and etc paying top dollar for the best cancer treatment on earth.

My mother had breast cancer. She told them to just take the whole breast as opposed to the lumpectomy. So they did. Then the oncologist wanted her to take chemo, radiation, and two medications whose #1 side effect was heart issues (a better than 50% risk!)

My mom did her research and learned about the oncolgy racket. She turned down all post operation treatment and changed her habits. She read a book on cancer fighting superfoods and started eating better, exercising and so forth. She is still doing well three years later.

She also prayed alot during that time about and felt God strongly leading her against all that poison. So to God be the glory!

I know there cases where its so bad, chemo is the last hope. But it seems nowadays they dole out chemo for all cancer cases, even when its early and operable. I really feel people are going through more than they have too.

An almost classical picture of a frail old man who’s rapidly dying of cancer. I wonder if he returned to AZ by private jet instead of commercial airliner. Going through security and all the other hassles would have been very hard on him.

That’s exactly what he’ll have to do, plus a special ambulance ride to the Capitol.

It wouldn’t be the first time that a dead man voted.

Johnson took the oath of office on a plane.

Yes, he did, in person (not remotely).

Apparently, both of AZ's RINO senators are lame ducks. One by his own choice; the other by his Creator's.

Hopefully AZ won't send any more flakes or "mavericks" to succeed them.

Andrew Johnson. He was in Dallas when Lincoln was shot at the Ford Theater. LOL

You think it's bad now. Just imagine if the godless humanists ever succeed in their quest to keep disembodied minds functioning indefinitely. I could easily see Capitol Hill brimming over with them: Congressmen, lobbyists, staffers, etc.

On the plus side, unwanted groping could be dramatically reduced.

Oncology is a racket.

You're hanging around the wrong Oncologists.I worked closely for 20+ years for the physicians and surgeons at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

While their "cure" rate was less than 100% and their treatments were often difficult they most assuredly weren't running a "racket".
