Rape trial falls apart after accuser’s 40,000 texts are revealed
New York Post ^ | December 16, 2017 | Victoria Craw

A student has described going through “mental torture” after a rape case against him was thrown out in court because police had failed to hand over more than 40,000 messages from his accuser.

Liam Allan, 22, faced up to ten years in jail charged with six counts of rape and six counts of sexual assault against a young woman over a 14-month period that began when he was 19.

The criminology student at Greenwich University had spent nearly two years on bail and three days in Croydon Crown Court when the trial was stopped in a dramatic fashion after it emerged police officers had failed to hand over evidence that proved his innocence.

The alleged victim had claimed she did not enjoy sex, while Mr Allan claimed it was consensual and she was acting maliciously because he refused to see her after he returned to university.

Now, the judge has called for an inquiry at the “very highest level” to understand why police failed to hand over critical evidence including 40,000 messages from the accuser to Mr Allan and friends.

The subtext of this article is that he apparently had to provide evidence to prove his innocence, whereas his accuser didn’t require any evidence to establish his guilt.

If you haven’t seen it, get back to me and tell me what you think!

(If you watch to the end, the guy does a hilarious version of the same graph, but for women evaluating men!) Unsurprisingly, it takes less than one minute to convey that...:)

" Because, at their core, they’re cowards. That’s why. Hope that helps."

"Cowardice" doesn't seem to be the correct description to me. Lazy, evil, ready to step on anyone's face to advance their own careers, maybe; but cowardice doesn't sound right to me.

I sent it to some guys, and they still bring it up years later. They also told me I talked, and kind of looked like the guy too, which to them, made it even funnier, but I don't really think I look like him much...I am not quite that heavy!

The other one I watch and laugh at every single time (because...it is true) is:

Speaking later, he said detectives had previously told him the sexual messages were “too personal” to share.

Then sentence the POS Criminal Detectives to 10 years in Prison for this attempted False Imprisonment and Malicious Prosecution.

So is anyone going to prison for this attempted frame job perpetrated by a police force and willing prosecutor?

40,000 messages over 14 months. That’s almost 100 messages/day. Help me out here, is that typical these days?

https://www.textrequest.com/blog/many-texts-people-send-per-day/

The above link claims an average of 3853 texts per month for adults in the U.S. who are 18-24. That would be about 54,000 texts over 14 months. So, maybe her text volume is lower than is typical.

I love Mark Gungor’s videos - they are SO full of truth - and funny. I just referenced the “two brains” video to the thread about women’s annoying habits. I’ll have to watch your crazy/hot one that you linked to.

Thanks for your reply. However, the article’s data applied to messages between only two people....not all messages to all people during the period. I suppose we can’t conclude anything without more data. No pun intended.

I know if my wife rolls her eyes at it, it has to be ‘guy’ humor, which is okay...:)

Why didn’t he present his copies?

Possibly he tossed his phone because she was harassing him and got a new one.

His lawyers were asking for her phone records so yes he did get at least some of them.

Thanks for the info.

Do you know if prosecutors have immunity in the UK?

Yup. There was a teenage girl driving and texting beside me while I was on my scooter. She drifted into my lane, as I moved over, honked, etc.

I wonder how she explained the boot sized dent in the passenger’s door to daddy...

Somewhere on the web are some documents about this miserable woman who accused this guy of rape. Here is one link

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbia_University_rape_controversy

This woman wanted a relationship and when it wasn’t working out she sued him for rape.

The court documents are horrific. Columbia University actually gave her college credit for going around harassing the guy.
