Gowdy Eviscerates McCabe: "Surprised If He's Still An Employee Of The FBI By This Time Next Week"
Investing Matters ^ | 12-16-2017

Once again echoing the dinner conversations of a growing number of American households around the country, Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) ripped into FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe on Fox News regarding text messages released earlier this week between Agent Peter Strzok and lawyer Lisa Page that revealed an FBI plot, allegedly hatched in McCabe’s office, to prevent a Trump presidency at all costs. Among other things, Gowdy said he would be somewhat shocked if McCabe was still an employee of the FBI “by this time next week.”

“I’m still trying to figure out why 3 FBI agents are discussing politics in the Deputy Director’s office because you’re not supposed to discuss politics on Federal ground. And FBI agents aren’t supposed to engage in politics for Hatch Act reasons.”

Wake me up when Trey actually does something

Like what?

Trey Gowdy is a member of Congress (the Legislative branch). He is not a prosecutor (Executive Branch). He is not a Federal Judge (Judicial Branch). He cannot convene a Grand Jury. He cannot issue search warrants. He cannot authorize wiretaps.

There are only two possible outcomes of these idiotic "hearings" in terms of prosecuting the greatest criminal seditious conspiracy in our history, and both of them are bad.

The first is disclosure of the names and activities of currently non-suspect persons, enabling them to hide evidence from law enforcement or to flee. The second is to provide grounds to quash indictments based on adverse publicity.

Congress is not a Star Chamber.

All Congressional BSing about this topic should end immediately.

Either President Trump will see that the laws of the United States are executed or he will fall. He has all the means at his disposal to break the conspiracy and end the threat.

Congress has nothing to do with it.

Inside the FBI and Department of Justice under Obama was a brazen plot to do two things. To exonerate Hillary Clinton because of an animous for Donald Trump, and then if she lost to frame the incoming president for either a criminal act or impeachment. DiGenova

Rogue FBI agents committed treason..

“Gowdy Eviscerates ... “ his lunch.
I thought Howdy was going home to mend fences, spend more time with his family, etc.—the things failed politicians say they are going to do before setting up on K street.

Bingo... as much as we want to know, everything leaked too soon puts chances of successful prosecution in jeopardy.

Rowdy has no scalps on his wall. He is a Swamp Protector.

Exactly...notice how hidden in all Gowdy's theatrics is the notion that Deputy Director McCabe won't be testifying under oath next week.

I'll wager that threatened Congressional subpoena won't be forthcoming either.

Gowdy is a master at articulating thought and reason and loves law. He nails them and the Committee must vote to refer them to the Justice Department.

That’s the extent of Gowdy’s influence, but gang slander of Trey is so much easier than bothering with facts and Gowdy’s limitations.

Yup. It's as if they think Congress can prosecute crimes. Never mind that the prosecutor AG Sessions has left the room.

Gowdy DID HIS JOB, and passed the good to DOJ/FBI/TRUMP, and it is THEY who REFUSE to do their jobs.

Jordan, Nunes and the others have been doing a good job.

Some folks around here are clueless where the problem is.

I hope you are correct, but you state the above as fact. Do you have any evidence of it?

Evidence is circumstantial, but if you remove emotion and coldly examine what can be observed - including the contrasting behaviors of the two sides - this is the only logical conclusion. Here's a cursory timeline that shapes the argument:

October 9, 2016. During the second presidential debate, Candidate Trump promised Hillary "I didn't think I'd say this, but I'm going to say it and hate to say it: But if I win, I'm going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation because there has never been so many lies, so much deception. There has never been anything like it. And we're going to have a special prosecutor."

January 31, 2017. President Trump nominates Rod Rosenstein, then United States Attorney for Maryland, to be Deputy Attorney General.

April 16, 2017. President Trump interviews Robert Mueller for the job of FBI director. This is odd, given that Mueller was then ineligible to hold the job. The 73-year-old Mueller had previously served 12 years as FBI director and had required Senate confirmation to serve beyond its 10-year statutory term limit. Then, the very next day...

April 17, 2017. Deputy AG Rosenstein appoints Mueller as special counsel - with curiously broader authority than its expected purpose required. Order Number 3915-2017 granted to Mueller the authority to investigate and prosecute the following:
(i) any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and
(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and
(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R <§> 600.4(a)."

It is now apparent that President Trump knew two things early on:
1. Neither Trump nor his campaign ever colluded with the Russian government and had nothing to fear from any investigation; and
2. There was a mountain of evidence that Hillary Clinton and many of her swamp mates received bribes from Russia in exchange for one-fifth of America's uranium, and Mueller knew all about it - and the existence of a paid FBI informant - since he was FBI Director between 2001 and 2013.

Judging from the Swamp critters' panicked and unhinged behavior, it is apparent that the fix really was in with Robert Mueller - but not like they were led to believe. As Trump knew from the beginning, none of the evidence would implicate him, but would implicate his enemies instead. President Trump chose his man (Rosenstein) to appoint the man he had just interviewed (Mueller) to be special counsel - just as he promised Hillary back on October 9, 2016. Donald John Trump keeps his word.

Since we can only speculate at this point what the IG is actually producing, I hope we are not disappointed by him as well.

I have become very gun shy of people who have graduated from Ivy League schools. Hopefully what I read is true, and a patriot actually comes out of an Ivy League school occasionally. 8>)

Thanks for the post, it was at least an interesting read for a change.

Great. How many years now has he been "effectively informing"? Meanwhile an entire shadow government was forming and operating right under his (and others who were supposed opposition) nose.

This glacial speed of effectively informing is about 30 years ago.

But, whatever, you stay invested in All Hat Gowdy and keep watching the show.

What do you expect Gowdy to do? He’s a congressman. He has no power to prosecute anyone. He has the power to ask questions. And in the end, write a report. That’s it.

Fine timeline devil dog yet you’ll still hear the populist harpies raging on about how Gowdy refuses to do “his job” as if they are expecting Gowdy to indict.

Wake me up when our DOJ run by sleepy Jeff who reports to our President in the Executive (you know the branch that actually CAN prosecute crimes) with the mountain of evidence laid out by Gowdy actually brings forward indictments. But please in the meantime do keep up the shallow rants on Gowdy as he continues to do his job. Always a Marine has laid out the case to perfection yet those that still wish to wear their blinders will truly never see nor understand constitutional roles and responsibilities.
