Texas is being flooded with illegals and out of staters. We are just barely still a conservative state. I imagine Texas will go blue in under ten years if things (border security) don't change. All of our large cities have already gone blue and they all used to be red.

Cruz will be reelected unless he does something stupid, but it will be closer then he would like.

Define stupid in context. Elbowing his wife in the face? Eating what was widely speculated to have been a booger, live on a nationally televised debate? Ignoring a woman with his campaign when she falls offstage right in front of him? What sort of stupid are we talking here?

Exactly.

Cruz is an ass, but he’s our ass.

If he needs removing, it’s our business.

The Left is pathetic, the way they mistakenly interpret the tea leaves after elections.

Is Cruz vulnerable in Texas?

************

Not by a democrat. The correct Republican may could give him a race.

This dude can't speak without cussing. He'll not
go over very well in many areas of Texas.

“Cruz is quite capable of blowing an election that is his to lose. He does not bear close scrutiny well at all. The “creepy” brush will be applied and he’ll actually fare worse than Roy Moore, IMHO.”

Agreed.

Not to mention he lied to Texas voters when he said he didn’t know he was a Canadian Citizen in the last election.

Getting matching temporary tattoos with Amanda Carpenter and allowing said female underling to snap a selfie showing off the tattoo while wearing his suit coat type stupid?

I’ve looked at the county-by-county GOP/dimwit wins in Texas over the past 12yrs, and it’s getting bluer and bluer. Not good.

Does his voting record count for nothing?

Who in the Senate are you comparing him to?

Which Senator is less of a “snake oil salesman”?

I guess non-verbal type stupid gets a pass? I'm still trying to wrap my mind around Cruz not doing something stupid on the campaign trail. His 2016 Presidential campaign was comical.

As if the GOP will go on the attack. Now that Franken may be forced to leave as he had promised (in favor of the Planned Parenthood woman), the Democrats can go all-out attacking Trump on this issue.

Trump's biggest mistake so far was picking Sessions to head the DOJ. There wouldn't have been a special election in Alabama otherwise, and Sessions has been missing in action.

Just wait a decade or two and the flood Bush & Obama anchor babies will be voting age. We may win a few battles with Trump but the Demographic war is over.

Cruz sabotafed Roy Moore by saying he believed the political lying whores that lied about Roy. He lost the right.

That is concerning. Few states are tending right from left. If we lose Texas, we lose.

Everything from NC to FL along the eastern seabord is at risk of turning blue. Always depressing for me to be in some small South Carolina town and see a pack of midget wetbacks at a gas station or where ever.

Interesting to see what Cruz’s future holds. His intent was to have the GOP
nomination last time and be in the WH. His history shows he doesn’t stay put
very long in anyone position. He may have settle down a bit now and be
satisfied with the Senator position. But I’d think he’ll make at least one
more presidential attempt. If Trump is holding firm I suspect he’ll lie low
and make the attempt after Trump’s tenure is over.

"Suddenly the Southern Strategy is no longer a Southern Strategy."

Although the demographics are slowly changing, the South is still reliably conservative. What the Moore debacle shows is that conservatives can no longer take things for granted. They will have to (gasp!) work to nominate worthy candidates and win elections. Conservatives are now a third party that must defeat Democrats and Establishment Republicans to win.

“Alabamans picked a toxic pedo candidate who even still only narrowly lost.”

When did you stop molesting children?

See how that works? How would you like your name to be plastered all over the media, calling you a child molester?

Regardless of Moore’s strengths and weaknesses as a candidate, it is unthinkable that mere accusations of impropriety should be the basis of labeling someone a sexual predator.

You have decided to join the hail-Satan left in calling a man of integrity a “pedo.” You deserve to have your reputation destroyed until you learn not to do so to others.

“As bad a candidate as Moore was he still would have won had the GOPe not campaigned against him vigorously. Cruz won’t have that issue to deal with.”

Don’t be too sure of that. Remember, Cornyn is the other Texas Senator. He can hardly be counted as a conservative and has been anti-Cruz before. The Establishment Pubbies still hate Cruz.
