Does Shawn Hannity Share Much of the Blame for Defeat of Roy Moore?
self ^ | 12/13/17 | vannnity

Shawn Hannity did a number on Judge Roy Moore Senatorial campaign. Candidate Roy Moore allowed himself to be bushwhacked in a telephone interrogation on national television.

Hannnity acted as a prosecutor during the interview. How many Democrats when faced with a sexual scandal, encountered a prosecutorial styled interview? I cannot think of any.

Do you remember Steve Kroft's interview of the Clinton's, which was later called the "Stand by Your Man" interview because of Hillary's defense of Bill Clinton? They were all soft ball questions with no follow up. I wanted to smash my television! I wanted to smash my television because it was evident this was a damage control interview designed to put to rest the allegations of Bill Clinton's mistreatment of women.

Why did Hannity participate in the dismantling of Roy Moore? Did someone from the deep state give him a call? Why did Roy Moore agree to such a inquisition? I have to admit, the answers Moore gave were indeed creepy.

Never a prosecutorial styled interview of a Democrat! Double standard, brought to us this time by Shawn Hannity.

Well you didn’t want Sean to lose any of his advertisers. How can you expect a guy to live on only $10 million per year?

That’s what McCaskill supposedly did in MO in 2012 with Todd Akin.

Oh, get real. Hannity doesn’t have that much sway over Conservative Republicans. Besides, I didn’t even hear him give Mo Brooks much of an endorsement.

As we have seen, over and over again, Republicans too often will sit on their duffs and not vote whenever they don’t like a candidate.

His Christian and conservative credentials aside, Roy Moore, gave terrible interviews after the accusations came out.

In fact, it was Sean Hannity, who gave him a platform to clear his name, and desperately tried to help him in the interview, and yet, Moore botched it up BIG TIME.

Let’s not forget, Roy Moore ran for governor TWICE and lost, so last night should not have really surprised us.

Roy Moore is a good man, but he became a little too cocky for his own good in believing he had it in the bag.

You can’t blame Sean Hannity for Roy Moore being unappealing and the voter not voting.

I blame those Alabamians, who didn’t care enough about the unborn or the President’s agenda to get out there and vote anyway against Doug Jones.

Moore wasn’t a good candidate.

Forget Hannity for a minute. This was a West Point graduate. What general can he cite who takes a vacation the day before a big battle?

Eisenhower: “Guys, it’s Jun 1. I know d-day is launching soon, but I’ve always wanted to see Edinburgh castle, so I’ve asked Mamie to come over for a week. See ya.”

I have never heard of Shawn Hannity, so he must be a local TV or radio personality.

You’re off to a very bad start when you can’t even spell someone’s name correctly in the title of your thread...

Furthermore, Sean Hannity was beyond fair to Roy Moore and even went out of his way to help Moore after Moore was constantly bobbing and weaving making himself look guilty to try to get him to clarify some of his answers which sounded like he was dodging the questions. The fact Moore made himself look bad in that interview is no fault of Hannity especially since Hannity gave him multiple follow-up opportunities to improve what he said, and it is beyond ridiculous for you or anyone else to say otherwise. You should be embarrassed for writing something so absurd.

He certainly intentionally made the effort, how much effect is another question.

As Ive said for years around here, its obvious that he doesnt actually understand or maybe just doesnt care about the differences of the difference between Marx and the Founding Fathers. Somewhere along the line he met someone that was feeding him conservative talking points and he was using them but never seemed to understand why conservatives believed those things. His ramblings appealing to emotion brought him to generally the right place without knowing principles we used to get there.

Somewhere along the line when I heard women calling in to tell hom how good looking he was I convinced myself that this was actually part of the game. His mewlings appealed to kids and squishy middle women who vote based on things like hair volume.

At that point I still didnt like him but thought I wasnt his target audience and he was still a useful tool for converting confused political newbs.

Then came his position that illegal aliens were a net benefit to the country and should stay. For awhile he argued that like a hill he would die on and I think his career nearly did. It was pretty obvious he was just going to carry GOPes water despite so many fans calling in to voice opposition.

Hes just a mouthpiece for someone though I cant speculate who feeds him but I think its pretty clear which group he actually works for and it isnt us.

Mitch spent $30 million against Roy

Much of that was spent against Mo Brooks in the first round.

Yep...Roy Moore lost because of Roy Moore.

R’s will take the seat back in four years. Plenty of time to select and vet a solid Conservative.

Hannity was not Moore’s problem. Moore was Moore’s problem as soon as he wouldn’t deny dating teenage girls. That was pretty much game, set, match

I think 2020 is the next election for him... maybe he will do the smart thing and switch.. I think it depends on how next year elections go.... after all, what they really want... is another term. He knows he’s toast as a D...
