While Roy Moore backers and the GOPe will point fingers at each other, the finger-pointing is less important than the sheer weight of a “house divided against itself”. In that regard it is important to recognize from whom and where the GOP house in Alabama became divided over this race. The fact is the GOPe is entirely to blame for that division. They created it in an attempt to manufacture a top-down pick of their own in the primary, interjecting Washington D.C. against the GOP voters right and ability to pick a candidate themselves. The again made their intra-party division-machine worse by actually going after the Alabama GOP choice, as set by the primary.

Nothing spells division like manufacturing it, and that’s what the GOPe did in Alabama. It turned the GOP voters, but not off in a way to vote against the Dim candidate, just not vote.

I will most definitely vote in the Republican primaries in 2018. If a RINO wins then I will sit out the general.

After the primary was over democrats smelled blood in the water when they saw McConnell and the GOPe continue fighting against their own party’s candidate.

Up until then Alabama was a safe senate seat for republicans.

Mitch McConnell should be shunned in the senate and turned out of office at the next election.

It should have been done long ago.

So far this year Mitch McConnel has only two wins:

1. - The Neil Gorsuch appointment to the Supreme Court.

2. - The win of democrat Doug Jones and the defeat of his own republican nominee for senator from Alabama.

Thanks for posting the maps. Losing Mobile and the Huntsville areas really hurt Moore.

But he does view it as a win (Doug Jones). That is the disturbing part.

Your logic would hold except that Moore was 100% anti-GOPe.

I wish I could do that. I wish I could vote in the primaries and sit out the general if the GOPe guy wins. That means, however, that Trump is gone. It is a real poop pickle the GOPe has us in.

The fraud was in the electronic voting. A voter presses the touchscreen for Moore and is counted for Jones.

“....and still lost by only 19,000 votes.”

That’s beyond amazing.

i know, that doesn’t even begin to sound right.

this is the only way dems win early voting that drag every vagrant to the polls, and on top of that fraud and illegals.

They don’t win on issues.

Who believes a 92% Democrat turnout? Most of their Black votes aren’t able to get to the polls till afternoon, and we heard nothing about long lines. They certainly had that many registrations, so that many votes (or more, as in precincts in PA) can then be put into those machines.
We need to go back to paper ballots and NO absentee ballots.

Come on folks, this is ALL going according to plan. As viewed by the GOPe, DJT is an interloper. They bitterly opposed him and his policies and DID EVERYTHING they could to sabotage and defeat him. That he won despite this is an outrage to them. They are continuing to sabotage him in congress and in failing to defend him from an outrageous coup attempt.

The depression in GOP vote in Alabama will only fuel their fire and let them know they are on target. They can count on 2018 to be a disaster so that they can gladly hand over the congress. At the least, they can say “see, we told you to nominate Jeb.” As a bonus, they get Trump impeached.

The Rove/McCain wing of the party won’t let it go. Their technique is well known. They tell you your guy can’t win and to prove it they go about making sure your guy doesn’t. Then, they turn and say, “ told you so.” Akin to me telling you your car is no good and smashing it to pieces. Check no further than the stories today. The NeverTrumpers are “I told you soing” in droves. They are just warming up for after 2018.

Was Moore a flawed candidate? Sure, but what candidate isn’t? How many seated in congress today make Roy Moore look like a Boy Scout? It is a question of who digs out the dirt and who defends them. If from the get go Mitch had defended Moore, Moore is elected today. If Luther Strange had won and the WaPo flung this stuff against him (which will be the playbook against every GOP candidate btw), you bet Mitch would have defended him.

Yep, all doing according to plan. They already have 90% on FR saying they aren’t voting in 2018.

yep the GOPers and their never trump media all want to lose in 2018 to take down Trump, because we all know there is ONE party working for the globalist agenda.

This is what Roy Moore was up against:

****************

Roy Moore was up against his actual/perceived history and didn't
do a good job of clearing it up to the voter's satisfaction.

Luther Strange would be the Senator-elect right now.

That's true and it wouldn't have been a horrible outcome. I prefer Moore but I could live with Strange.

Why wasn’t the GOPe providing free bus service to the polls? We KNOW the NAACP is just a front group for the DNC.
