If Mitch Daniels doesn’t fire this witch, Purdue gets added to my “do not hire” list.
This kind of crap is what I would expect out of University of Minnesota.

She takes something like science, which applies to all nationalities, creeds etc equally, and implies only white heterosexuals are capable of excelling in it in acceptable numbers. And she doesn’t think this is just a tiny little bit racist?

Social engineering is to engineering what social justice is to justice.

If I remember correctly, she does not have an engineering degree. She has a degree in engineering education. No doubt that major was created so people who could not cut it in the real engineering classes could pretend to know something about science and math. It’s another form of affirmative action so universities can hire more women and minorities in their science and engineering departments.

I had to resurrect this thread because I just read an American Thinker article entitled “The Death of American Rigor”:

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/01/the_death_of_academic_rigor.html

So I searched for more articles about this crazy lady Riley, and found this excellent article written by a Professor of Engineering at Michigan State University (he’s also a Princeton grad, but with a PhD in a real engineering discipline):
