Mike Pence calls Palestinian snub after Jerusalem decision 'unfortunate'
Washington Examiner ^ | Dec 10, 2017 | Robert King

Vice President Pence called the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ decision to snub a meeting with him “unfortunate,” and that he still plans to visit the region.

The statement from Pence’s press secretary on Sunday comes ahead of a planned trip to Israel and Egypt later this month. It also comes a few days after President Trump decided to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which angered Palestinians.

Abbas said Saturday he would cancel a planned Dec. 19 meeting with Pence in retaliation for the embassy move. Palestinians claim East Jerusalem as their capital and the move sparked major protests and riots in response to the decision.

“It’s unfortunate that the Palestinian Authority is walking away again from an opportunity to discuss the future of the region, but the administration remains undeterred in its efforts to help achieve peace between Israelis and Palestinians and our peace team remains hard at work putting together a plan,” Press Secretary Alyssa Farah said in a statement.

Pence will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi on the trip.

Palestinians haven't read the memo yet. Nobody cares if they snub them anymore.

I like the choice of wording.

It doesn’t lower it to personal attack status opening Trump and Pence to accusations of inserting personal bias into politics.

The Palestinian play book has always been, “we won’t even talk to you until you give us what we want.” It’s a negotiating position that relies on liberal parties in your back yard putting pressure on you so that you agree with them. They really have nothing to negotiate with. They can’t offer peace, or, at least meaningful peace. They can lie all they want. Their stand has been, you give us what we want and then we demand even more. By the way, we’ll keep attacking you, killing your children, and rewarding martyrs. That’s all nonnegotiable.

I think our approach should be, you stop training and rewarding martyrs or we stop giving you money. Further, we’ll help the Israelis blockade money and supplies until you comply. If a missile leaves your territory, the Israelis get to fire back until they run out of ammo. The only thing they will understand and react to is force; overwhelming force. To have peace they have to lose. They have to acknowledge they have lost. They have to ask for peace and change their murderous culture. Oh, and virtually everybody in office now needs to be gone. No more martyr money. Period.

The Palis get huge subsidies from the EuroNazis who all bitterly hate Trump. The Palis would incur the wrath of Merkel and the other euroscum if they didn’t toe the Hate Trump line.

We should have stayed out of WWI

President Trump delivered that very message earlier this year with his speech to the hundred Saudi princes.

I believe it’s been heard and they are now acting on it.

The move of the embassy had to wait until action by the Saudis.

I believe we give the Palestinians 400-500 million per year. They could be on the verge of losing that money.

Anyone who thinks they want a peaceful settlement that allows Israel to live in peace is crazy anyway. This just smoked them out.

Palies are the subhuman dregs of islam...similar, but worse, than Somalis. Nobody wants em....never have. No one wants em now either. This PA “homeland” thing was a joke before it ever got started. Islam sent em there with the promise of it IF they’d drive the Jews into the sea. There is no solution to it other than one or the other leaving/dying. Anyone that’s ever been there, knows how vile, evil, nasty and filthy these feral dogs are. The Jews know this and put up with it everyday. The rest of the world does not. IF they had to, it would have ended years ago.

Everything you've said is true.
However, it must be acknowledged that's the history of all war for all time. They aren't unique in this; it's just that the left has made them a protected class that can't be dealt with like The Germans, the Japanese or any other enemy. We have been induced to treat the Palestinians like the African-Americans of the Middle East.
Until we demand them to enter the civilized world, they'll continue to behave like barbarians.

Diplomats complain that Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. The answer is that they've already had their last opportunity. Their inability to see reality must be made an existential threat...to THEMSELVES!

“However, it must be acknowledged that’s the history of all war for all time. “

Actually, what caused me to write that was what Robert E. Lee told his subordinate generals at the end of the war. They suggested that he disperse the army and send them into the hills to act as an insurgent force. He said, no. It’s time to declare that we lost and begin the healing process. (I’m taking huge liberties here, so cut me some slack. I didn’t want to spend thirty minutes looking for the exact quote. But that’s what he meant.)

There is the western means of negotiation we are familiar with. But there is also the Asian means, that often works just as well or better. This was well illustrated in how we treated our scientists.

In the west, scientists could make a fortune with technologies, so that was where their emphasis went. But the Soviet Union could not afford such luxuries, so instead it started by taking away what their scientists had. To earn it back, a little at a time, they had to produce. With a breakthrough, they might get an extra potato with lunch. For a real advance, another blanket to sleep under at night.

Since the only other benefits they could get was recognition from their peers, they concentrated on pure science, without any obvious technological advances.

In any event, the Israelis have always used the first means of negotiation with the Paleos, offering them the Moon and the stars, but to no great effect. This is because Muslims are obsessed with land above all else, and literally all the land there is, especially all of Israel.

So the only way to have a breakthrough with them is not to promise or give them things. It is to start by taking away from them. Taking away land. Land that will never, ever be
returned to them. It doesn’t have to be much, but the Israelis must be steel willed that it shall never be returned.

Despite the bitter howls of them and other Arabs, and the weak kneed westerners, make it clear that there is no way that land will ever again be Muslim land.

Then, and here is the most important point: tell them to behave themselves or Israel will take more land.

For this is the one thing that will penetrate their thick skulls, the abject terror of the shame of losing Muslim land.

1. Move all Arabs out of Israel (which includes Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem) and relocate them to Gaza.

2. Rename Gaza “Palestine”.

3. Build a huge wall around it.

Of course. I'm not questioning you for a second.
Had R. E. Lee opted to launch a guerrilla war, he would have destroyed what was left of the South and caused apocalyptic blood-letting on both sides.
Since the Palis aren't willing to accept this approach is wrong, they must be forced to it by putting their own survival on the line.

It has always been my position that retaliation must be so violent that whenever anyone even talks about engaging in terrorism, his own mother will spit in his face.

the only recognized borders happen to be those of the 1947 UN resolution 181.

facts on the ground haven‘t changed that and aren‘t going to.
