Olympic gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn sparked a backlash when she said she will represent the United States at the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, in February, but not the president.

Vonn also said she would "absolutely not" accept an invitation to the White House if she were to win a gold medal.

On "Fox & Friends Weekend" this morning, fellow Olympic gold medalist Mike Eruzione said Vonn has the right to make her own decisions, but he disagrees and believes it's important to respect the presidency.

Maybe the Olympics need to go into the dumpster along with the NFL

Can't happen soon enough for me. Both have been thoroughly politicized.

I find her very overrated. Being an athlete and dressing like a tramp has somehow earned her celebrity status. When I was a single man her age, I wouldn't have asked her out. She doesn't appeal to me in any way. I could go to bars tonight in Mobile, AL and see at least 50 women more attractive than Lindsey Vonn. She's an athlete which keeps her fit but she won't age well. Overrated self-promoter. .

Didn’t Precedent Jimmah the Peanut ......boycott the 80 olympics in Moscow ?

Be a hoot for President DJT to do the same to the North Korean games and then telling Lindsey Vonn make him a sandwich and iron his shirt ....

“Wench just hurt her back. She won’t make it to the Olympics, or maybe she’ll go to save face but she’s done”

She was non existent in the top ten to date this year, granted the season was not to far in, but Karma is a bitch.

They heralded the coming election of Ronald Reagan. Patriotism was back after the years of Carter misery.

That is so true. I lived in Revere at the time, right next to Winthrop. I had just enlisted in the Marine Corps and was scheduled for boot camp later that year. After the gold medal was won, I went over to Winthrop to see the parade for Mike Eruzione. The parade route was mobbed and there were American flags everywhere. It was the first display of true patriotism I ever saw.

I did not know it then but it was the start of the really good times for me. The entire decade of the 1980s was the best part of my life (and it hasn't been all that bad since).

Actually, Donald Trump may know quite a fair amount about skiing. Ivana had been an ski racer when they met, which doesn’t necessarily mean he went on to follow the sport but he probably heard some things....

When those college kids defeated the mighty Soviet Union you could feel the world change all the way out here in California.

If you want to have some fun go find the tape of that game on YouTube. And be sure to watch the reaction of the Soviet players when the Americans defeated them. They don’t look angry or despondent or anything- they just seem fascinated by the American kids, like they have never seen anything like them.

More amazing considering in an exhibition a few months before, the Soviets beat them something like 10-3.
