They love them some Gowdy over on The_Donald though, I found it inexplicable.
Gowdy can’t “do” much on his own. It takes an entire Congress with some balls to cut funding or basically deal with the problem of a corrupt DoJ.

I have not heard anything from the House leadership in backing up Gowdy. Where is Paul Ryan in all this?

Just before Christmas would be the IDEAL time for Trump to start firing people.
I thinks it’s partly due to the fact that most elected republicans don’t care about corruption. He can’t do anything by himself, atleast he asks the questions .
I can see how Gowdy says that individual agents still have a good reputation, and are respected. But the institution as a whole is struggling for respect. And the leadership of the last few years is entirely to blame.
Generally, I like Gowdy but that is a really weak statement. What the Deep State needs now is a large number of public hangings. At the moment, after a few hours of notoriety, there is no punishment.

Seriously. With Gowdy involved, you can guarantee no results.
Seems like you’d have to mandate monthly ethics training for the DOJ.
