Merkel Condemns Trump Decision on Jerusalem, Pushes Two-State Solution
PJ Media ^ | 12-06-2017 | Michael van der Galien

President Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's official capital and his announcement that he would move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to that city has not only sparked outrage in the Middle East but also in Europe.

One European leader who has condemned Trump's announcement is Angela Merkel, the German chancellor. Although you'd expect her to tread extremely carefully when talking about the Jewish nation-state -- considering her country's horrible record regarding the treatment of Jews -- nothing could be further from the truth.

"The federal government doesn't understand this decision because the status of Jerusalem must be negotiated within the framework of the two-state solution," the Bundeskanzlerin says through her spokesman Steffen Seiber. That is why, she adds, the German government does not support Trump's decision.

Her foreign secretary, Sigmar Gabriel, agrees with Merkel's position. "I believe that it carries the risk that an already difficult situation in the Middle East and in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians will escalate even further," he added to Merkel's statement. He also complained that Trump's announcement supposedly ignores the Palestinians' interests and marks a 180 turn of the previous U.S. policy. "And that worries us," Gabriel said. "We hope that this concerns can be taken away, but this turnaround is already a big problem."

“We all know the far-reaching impact this move would have,” Gabriel added. “Germany’s position on this issue remains unchanged: A solution to the Jerusalem problem can only be found through direct negotiations between both parties. Everything which worsens the crisis is counterproductive.”

sorry, ms. merkel, but that old ‘two state solution’ ruse won’t fool anyone, anymore. and besides, it sounds too damned much like that old ‘final solution,’ doesn’t it..

ps: the Muslims already have taken far far far more than their share of ‘palestine’ ... 78 percent in fact is entirely theirs already, called jordan...look at a map and see

Hey Angela, move your capital back to Bonn. The Federal Republic of Germany was forbidden from having their capital in Berlin, per the surrender agreement.

Angie Baby could solve the Israeli/Palestinian conflict by importing a few million West Bank Muslims and distributing them throughout all the most blonde haired/blue eyed, snow capped mountain portions of Western Europe, who seem to enjoy laying down like bear rugs, and letting the Muslims walk all over them (with some vintage ABBA playing in the background).

This would enable to Israel to permanently annex the West Bank with a Jewish majority.

Problem solved!

Merkel (a crossbreed between an orc and a hobbit) and Trump are total opposites. Trump wants to make his country great, Merkel wants to destroy it. So no one should follow his advice.

It’s no one’s business, except ours, where America places it embassies. If other countries do not like it, then TS.

Angela Merkel can go to hell as far as I am concerned.

Angela Merkel has turned her own country into hell, so she's already there. Her country's government protects illegal immigrant invaders first, ignoring the serious crimes these savages commit upon its own citizenry. Gee, sound familiar? Ask Mr. Steinle.

And a two state solution is lunacy.

You got that exactly right. Only pureblooded libtard morons like her would even consider a two state solution. The Paliscumians have no right to any land in Israel. Let them go back to Jordan from whence they came. Only Jordan likely doesn't want them back, with no marketable skills but murdering.

I totally agree. Cheaper to house soldiers, missiles closer to target Russia, and we could tell Merkle and the little Hitler in Turkey to GTH.

Considering the German history with Jews; they, and especially their leader, should keep their mouths shut about Israel.

Germany needs a two state solution.
One for the humans.
The other for the Islamic immigrants and their
Queen of the Crematoria-Merkel.

Germany having a say about Jews and a two-state solution is fun by itself.
