Looks like Santa Rosa all over again: Agenda 21 in action.

This has to be arson.

The winds are SO BAD I’m in Ventura this is bad!!! I am praying for fire fighters these winds are the worst I have experienced very strange to have this kind of wind with COLD air I don’t know if the cold air is better for conditions or not!!! Embers are flying into huge neighborhoods and spiraticly leveling homes not anywhere near the fire lines, firefighters are having to jump around EVERYWHERE!!! Winds are supposed to be with us until Friday!!!!

Yeah I spelled it wrong LOL..its Galena I was just sounding it out..not sure if he lives North or South I think he is more to the city..talked to my aunt she said he has no hills around him so most likely he is near Sycamore and Galena..in 2003 when he was living with the now ex wife, they lived in the Hills in Simi so they had to leave

from Simi PD copied and pasted it.....Simi Valley residents are advised that the Rye Fire in Santa Clarita may travel to Simi Valley this evening due to the weather conditions and heavy winds. Residents on the northern side of the City should be aware of this possibility and be prepared to evacuate if necessary. Residents will NOT be encouraged to shelter in place should the fire breach Simi Valley and will be encouraged to evacuate. Please be prepared to Ready, Set, Go if the situation requires.

This is so bad. And winds have actually picked up since sundown. Man it’s cold, yet the fires are just raging. Sounds like my son’s school is safe. The fire seems to be moving west not east.

There is a cold front that has pushed down from Canada. It may be the source of the winds. Most of the US is affected by the cold front (winter conditions Northern Plains/Midwest, colder air and rain in the South).

My concern is that the East-West winds might change to more South-Westerly if the Cold Front is a factor in this... Just not sure.

We are getting rain in SOUTH Louisiana from this Cold Front.

At this time of year the Santa Ana winds are always cold.

But in the summer they are hot.

We do get these winds every year.

I always had two lists...one for if you have to leave almost immediately, and another for when you have more time (like an hour).

Can now smell smoke outside. First time today in Simi.
We have been lucky to not have a smoke problem.
It stayed north of us all day.

The Thomas Fire is now threatening Santa Barbara and is close to being the worst wildfire in California history!
