I agree with you. Any law is an infringement.
I was anticipating the actions of Cuomo and Schneiderman, were this bill to pass and become law.
They will go to court, of that there is no doubt. The question is on what grounds? Their only avenue would be “states rights”. I cannot see any other path for them to attempt litigate.
I can get behind this legislation.
10th amendment does not go be states the power to override any of the other amendments
New York concealed carry restrictions in no way affect your ability to own a gun in your state. So the Second Amendment is not impacted.
Sorry. Missed it. My apologies.
This Ping List is for all things pertaining to the 2nd Amendment.
FReepmail me if you want to be added to or deleted from the list.

There really needs to be a Sarcasm font. :-)
I would like to see the country divided into 100 Senate districts with each having a minimum of say 200,000 residents and no maximum (that way Alaska doesn’t get 8 Senators from areas with virtually no population), each equally sized without allowing gerrymandering or regard to state boundaries. Then each district would get one senator. Hawaii would get one senator who would also represent our Pacific territories. That way the large lightly populated states would get 2-4 senators and the densely populated northeast would have about 4 senators instead of 20. Maine, NH, VT, MA, CT, and RI would get one senator instead of 12. NJ, DE, and Maryland would have on instead of 6. Texas would have about 8 instead of 2.
Hey, Cuomo... FU.
. ... to keep and bear arms...
Did Conyers vote?
Conyers served as the ranking Democrat on the House Committee on the Judiciary from 1995 to 2007 and again from 2011 to 2017. On November 26, 2017, he announced his intention to step aside from that position while he is investigated by the House for allegations of sexual harassment. He previously served as chairman of that committee from 2007 to 2011 and as Chairman of the House Oversight Committee from 1989 to 1995. Conyers is one of seven individuals to have served in Congress for at least fifty years, and the only African-American. [Source: Wikipedia]
You can keep and bear arms in your state. You can keep and bear arms if you are a resident of New York within the restrictions placed on you by the state. Don't like it? Don't go to New York. Problem solved.
“Problem solved.”
I recently had to go to Japan. Why “had to,” one might ask?
I didn’t want to go, but I asked myself, is it significantly better for my family if I go? The answer was a clear “yes.” I had to.
What if I have to go to New York? I will be required to expose myself to some of the most dangerous streets in America, with no means of protecting my life.
The right not to be killed is a human right. No government has any legitimate authority to infringe on it (presuming I haven’t been convicted of a capital crime).
I have a right to go to New York; I have a right not to be killed. The government of New York has no authority to infringe upon either of those rights.
Seems to me that the problem is solved when the drooling idiot gun-grabbers are out of power and our laws are no longer in direct violation of the Constitution.
Couldn't conceal carry there, could you?
I have a right to go to New York; I have a right not to be killed. The government of New York has no authority to infringe upon either of those rights.
The Supreme Court says otherwise. At lease where it comes to concealed carry restrictions.
Youre right. Your rights dont end when you cross a border between states.
“Couldn’t conceal carry there, could you”
Their laws violate human rights as well.
“The Supreme Court says otherwise.”
The Supreme Court says women have a right to murder their preborn children, and that it’s possible for two people of the same sex to marry.
The Supreme Court is only right when they’re right. The rest of time they’re as full of crap as anyone else.
*Thank* you.
That’s what I like to hear.
