Donald Trump has been criticised for using a racial slur during an event honouring Native American veterans.
The US president was welcoming three Navajo code talkers from the Second World War to the Oval Office on Monday afternoon when he referred to Elizabeth Warren, the Democratic senator, as "Pocahontas".
During remarks praising their service, he said: "You were here long before any of us were here. Although we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas. But you know what, I like you."
Two Second World War Navajo "code talkers" stood at the podium, with a third seated in a wheelchair as Mr Trump made the remarks, which were greeted with awkward silence.
They were among 29 young volunteers from the Navajo tribe who joined the Marines in 1942 and created a secret code for the military using the Navajo language as a code.
The president has repeatedly mocked the Massachusetts senator for claims she made about being part Native American.

I can’t imagine WWII heroes want to waste their remaining precious time on this earth hearing about Ms Warren.
Trump is a master at communicating in ways that 99.9% of the population understands, and his nicknames are no exception.

Given his track record against opponents, I give him the benefit of doubt.
I fully expect to see Elizabeth Warren, sullenly sitting in a teepee, saying, "He broke me!"

Although I am smiling and loved Press Sec. Sarah’s rejoinder to the WH press corp that maybe Elizabeth Warren should be questioned about her lies of being of Native American origin.
In this world, the elite must never be mocked. They live, reign and dominate the Swamp....center of the universe.
Perhaps the Media should go through the formality of explaining precisely how the term is racist in any way, shape, or form. They can't seem to explain that crucial aspect of their false accusation...
As if the deception employed by Warren is of very small importance. But she has cleansed herself by proclaiming racism.
