Remember the people pushing abortion in the 70’s were in fact a lot of Republican women and many still do. He was just succumbing to the popular rap at the time. It was the 70s...
And I don’t think many people understood what a charlatan and political backstabber McCain was back then. I know my family didn’t and my father knew everyone in the Arizona Republican old guard. We thought he was a young face who could carry on the open minded libertarian leaning Goldwater tradition.
Then we found out he was the Manchurian Candidate...
It’s about good and evil. The Bible is full of imperfect people who still did God’s work, and Judge Moore is certainly one of them. If Judge Moore really is guilty, and I have serious doubts on that, he’s a man who did tacky things 40 years ago with no scandal since then. If democrats win, they will do evil things today and for the rest of time, as they have as recently as every one of the past eight years.
In WW2, we sided with evil soviet socialists to stop evil national socialists. That was the moral option. Today we can far more easily side with the possibly once tacky Judge to stop the bigots, tyrants, baby killers, and other known liars who probably invented the charges against Judge Moore. Morality is the ultimate arbiter of right, and (as with most questions) in this case it is not on the side of democrats.
I know Judge Moore is a flawed sinner, as we all are. I suspect his actual flaws are far milder than the still not disqualifying tall tales (alleged to be 40 year old) being carefully released for the first time as election day approaches. I don’t know what his real flaws are. I do know, based on his actual actions in office, that he is a far better man than his opponent in this election (also judged by his actual, known actions).
He wasn’t just succumbing to a “fad.” He and his first wife were active leaders pushing it, unfortunately, back to the 1940s (the wife knew and was a disciple of Margaret Sanger’s). He never grasped what he was supporting was evil and denigrated those who opposed it. It’s always been a gargantuan black mark on his record.
It’s too bad getting caught up in the Keating Five scandal didn’t see him lose in 1992. Alas, even if he had, he probably would’ve tried to sneak back into the other seat in 1994. Hopefully both those dreadful Senators will be gone by January 2019. We’ve similarly helped to run out Corker here in TN, another embarrassment.
Jeff better pack his bags and head for border and hideout at Casas Grandes.

Don’t be surprised if Jeff Flake switches parties soon, and runs for re-election as a Democrat. His recent statements in the press are building some strong left wing cred.

The Tide is rolling in our favor (pun intended) ! Moore’s win will serve to shake many RINO’s into understanding that the majority of their constituents are not with them. The instinct to survive is very strong. Moore’s win following Trump’s victory will be a ‘come to Jesus’ moment for many RINOs and even Demoncraps - others will continue in their way and eventually get taken out with the trash.
Flake is s Morning Joe Republican, which is exponentially worse than a RINO. MOJO...or MOJOE
