All they have to do is object to the motion for unanimous consent, and a roll call vote will be required. If any single senatecritter objects, the motion for unanimous consent cannot carry, because it is not unanimous.

I still don't understand how that leads to all the judges approved in a single day.

True, sadly the case. I’d vote for that Alabama governor before Cruz, simply because she seems to understand the value of having a Republican win in her state (relative to a Democrat), regardless of whether he’s tainted. Cruz, on the other hand, figured that sacrificing the country for our kids and grand kids (by supporting Hillary, at least at the convention) was less important than a picture that Trump posted.

Yeah. Your right. There is nothing here to this senate election. Senate republican committee was and is helpful along with the RNC. There is no power struggle between the current leadership and the people. Yep your correct nothing to see move along. I defer to your vast knowledge of a newbie senator who is just going to fall in line.

Not approved, but they can be appointed if the senate is in recess. The theory being that if they are on a recorded vote, they won't be as likely to "suspend" the session using their standard parliamentary tricks, since their opposition will be on record. Personally, I'm kind of dubious about that, but I want the bastards on record. Any single senatecritter can object to unanimous consent or voice votes. The fact that they don't means they are playing games with us to hide their true positions.

Thanks. I would rather give directly to him. This seems the best way to do that.
