Those popping sounds you hear aren't light bulbs breaking as they hit the frozen surface of Lake Wobegon.
Instead, that sound comes from political heads exploding in the Democratic Media Complex.
Because liberal Democratic Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota was exposed, completely, for what he really is by West Coast radio news anchor Leeann Tweeden.
There's that photo of Franken smiling and grabbing at her breasts as Tweeden, a former model, slept on the way home from a USO tour in 2006. Franken leered and posed, fingers spread on her, like some cartoon of a sex-crazed sixth-grade boy.
"You knew exactly what you were doing," Tweeden wrote in an online post. "You forcibly kissed me without my consent, grabbed my breasts while I was sleeping and had someone take a photo of you doing it, knowing I would see it later, and be ashamed."
And just like that, the Democratic strategy to politicize sexual abuse and use it to beat Republicans to death at the polls must undergo a drastic rewrite.
So what do Democrats do now? Do they demand that Franken resign?
Franken and Democratic and Republican Senate leaders want to send all this to the Senate Ethics Committee for an investigation. But there it will be lost in dusty vaults away from public scrutiny.
We already know what happened. An ethics committee investigation won't tell us what happened. The only question is: What are Democrats going to do about it?
Franken apologized, says he's sorry, says he respects women. But if he truly means it, there's one thing for him to do: Resign immediately, disappear out into the woods.

Liberals are saying “It’s OK because he apologized”. For one, when do they ever accept the apology of a Republican? Secondly, He apologized only because there is not just evidence, but proof. He denied forcing a kiss on her, because there is no proof.
Where is the voice of John McCain and Mitch McConnell?
The simple fact of the matter is that he is a boorish clod. I very much doubt that there are not more incidents like this in his background.
He’s a Democrat. He’ll get a posh committee assignment and back pats from all. The photograph will be used for fundraising as proof of ebil, ebil Republican photographers.
Franken will not resign voluntarily......The “club” will have to find the way..for him.

The Democrats’ new weapon is assassination by sexual-harassment allegation. Worked perfectly with Herman Cain, almost with Trump, and not quite with Roy Moore.
The Democrats’ problem has been the increasingly rank hypocrisy of this sexual-harassment attack. Their solution is to throw Clinton and Franken to the wolves.
I’m hearing it already in my day-to-day: All things considered, Bill Clinton really should have resigned; and, therefore, Donald Trump should resign too! And Roy Moore!
Don’t fall for this BS! The Dems haven’t come to Jesus; they’ve come to realize their hypocrisy has been laid bare. They plan to recapture the moral high-ground by throwing two nobodies under the bus and by establishing the precedent that all sexual-harassment allegations must be believed.
Franken is a perfect fit for the Senate as it stands today. He is typical. He is an inside-the-beltway cog who fancies himself as something unique and remarkable.
Of course it’s all a show; they have no moral values. Clinton’s rape allegations were nothing to them. To a Democrat, the only crime is not being one. But they know how to use moral values as a weapon. They’ve always resorted to character assassination by whatever means necessary. Now they have to reap what they’ve sown. Minnesota is not so safe, by the way. Franken had to steal the election from the Republican candidate who actually won it.
Also, by the way, socialist Jesus would say “Get the government to steal your neighbor’s money, so they can give some of it to me.” But fortunately, Jesus didn’t succumb to the temptations of the devil.

Don’t ask me to explain the mindset of liberals, since I suspect it’s the way that madness lies. There is every indication of the evil and corruption, depravity, and sheer deception that inhabit liberal politicians. It only takes a little research. But fellow liberals prefer to ignore it, assumingly because they’re similar in general character.

No, the immediate target is for Moore so they can diminish Bannon. The entire establishment Deep State is desperate to keep the narrative alive against him so they can go back to business as usual. They have already blown their wad on Trump but will try it in ‘20 if they get their Bannon scalp before then.
The one they should go after is Menendez...interesting that "our" Republicans aren't making his misdeeds, which involved using the power and money of being Senator for his misdeeds, an issue.
Nobody in their right mind would run for office until this feeding frenzy ends.
The Menendez situation here in NJ is interesting; it ended with a hung jury, but people (including politicians) are VERY concerned about what becomes acceptable behavior if he isn’t convicted.
I really can’t comprehend how a state that elected Christie twice also elects Menendez and Booker...
It seems that the seething frenzy of liberals who were quick to call out Trump for his pussy grabber remarks is backfiring as more liberal darlings are being revealed to be even worse sexual predators. The lynching of Roy Moore by the media ginning up questionable accusors from 4 decades past seems hypocritical when photographic proof of sexual predation by Senator Franken is seeming being ignored or spun to be somehow exonorated by an apology. What’s more is that disturbing questions are now being asked about Bill Clinton’s serial sexual predation. In order to avoid seeming to be utter hypocrites Franken will be scapgoated and run out of Washington by sanctimonious liberals and I dare say the Clintons too will be sacrificed as Bill’s tawdry past and more recent sleezy money grubbing through the phony Clinton Foundation is revealed. However this catharsis will all be a sham and the Washington swamp will still be mired in gross immortality.
