Former IRS executive Lois G. Lerner told a federal court last week that members of her family, including young children, face death threats and a real risk of physical harm if her explanation of the tea party targeting scandal becomes public.
...
Ms. Lerner and Holly Paz, her deputy at the IRS, filed documents in court Thursday saying tapes and transcripts of depositions they gave in a court case this year must remain sealed in perpetuity, or else they could spur an enraged public to retaliate.

Lois, if some crazy person kills you, that person will still be tried. If found crazy, that person will be out in two years to celebrate life.
I dont understand your concern when we have solid liberal justice throughout this country.
Besides, you did nothing wrong, correct?
I hope Ms. Lerner will be sent to a safe place, one with armed guards, one with bars to keep bad people from getting to her, and one where she can reflect for 10-20 years on why she should not commit serious felonies that suppress the rights of decent Americans. I hope they find a nice federal prison for her and send her there.
Her actions in trying to keep those records sealed will enrage the public; either way she loses.
Let her rip!
Let the information get to the public about public manipulation for political purposes.
The IRS was another ( Obama) compromised and weaponized government organization!
Even then, not so much.
I thought she just pleaded the 5th. What was so inflammatory that she said?
18 U.S. Code § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law.
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.
She’ll be very safe in a Federal Prison for the rest of her life -— solitary if necessary!!!
I get the feeling that Judge Michael R. Barrett will see things as Lois does and seal the records. These types look out for their own.
Wow, maybe you should have thought about that, Ms Lerner. You know, actions/consequences.
The downfall of the American Republic began when we abandoned the practice of Tar and Feathers.
Why?
Because THEY can handle the truth!...................
The whole country and the rights of everyone in it should be s**tcanned because this one person did what she did, under the self-assumed authority of the “greater good.”
OK, I say, then throw her ass in prison.
Too big to jail?
Thread winner.
I recommend she read Unintended consequences by John Ross-It will help put the situation in perspective for her...
All the more reason to release it immediately.

“Ms Lerner, I promise your family will be unharmed.”
And Sessions says anything you want Ms. Lerner.
