You’re right. This isn’t the time for unpopular issues with big press. Whether people like it or not optics matter. Trump really needs to focus on taxes, immigration and health care. This hunting ban is a seventh or eighth year issue imho.
Oh another thread for emotional bambism, and nah, it’s not an issue that would keep Trump from winning in 2020. Not even close.

Several years ago, they banned deer hunting around and in the Everglades...
The overabundance of deer after a short time caused a disease to infect the population of deer...They almost all died out...Hunting was then resumed and the population increased...
Outlawing hunting has done wonders in Kenya. The wild animal population is less than 10% than what it was before the ban.
Unfortunately, facts have no place in an emotional argument.
Probably true. Critical thinking is a dying concept. It's so much easier to go with emotionalism.
