That makes a ton of sense to me. I’m afraid that lines are getting blurred between harassment and assault. Being teased, bullied, all terrible things, but I think we are moving everything we don’t like to criminal and that’s very scary.

Same thing that has happened in schools nowadays.

Back in my day, if someone got into trouble at school, they went to the vice-principal's office for a dressing down or to receive the dreaded swat(s) with a wooden paddle. If it was bad enough, the parents were called in on it and they took care of the wayward child misbehavior themselves at home. Sometimes the kids was suspended for a few days.

But today, the school's just call the cops and everything is considered a criminal offense.
