I just cannot imagine doing stuff like that!
What kind of worthless parents would bring up a child that would end up acting like this.
If a member of my family acted in such a way I would be ashamed to ever look them in the eye again.
A long time ago when I was in college in the 70’s someone I considered a friend told me and another guy that he had sex with a girl in his dorm room after she had passed out from too much alcohol at a party....he actually was bragging about it.
I was so upset I burst into tears, and I don’t easily cry.
I went immediately to this girl and told her what I had heard. She was devastated and mortified. She left school that day and I never heard from her again.
I went to the dean and told him all that had happened, he had a sort of, well, boys-will-be-boys attitude...just WTF :-/
I told the worthless bastard to never speak to me again and too not even look at me when we passed in the hallways.

prominent, historical senator in the 1980s This phrase seems to suggest that he is no longer a senator and probably dead.

A Democratic congresswoman says she was sexually assaulted by a prominent, historical senator in the 1980s and everyone on Capitol Hill knew that he was a harasser.
Name him - it's not your secret to keep, and every voter from that senator's state has a right to know about his behavior. If everyone on Capitol Hill knew, why were they covering up for him then and why are today's infestation of Congressmen continuing to cover up for him?
Publish the name of every scoundrel who betrays the peoples trust with this kind of nonsense instead of doing the job he was elected to do.We send people to Congress to carry out the will of the voters in government, not to re-enact scenes from the reign of Caligula.

That’s certainly a possibility. Of course, Strom Thurmond also comes to mind. Strom always got a bit of a pass because people assumed he was senile.

“I’m a United states congresswoman — I’m luckier than 99 percent of the women … But I would still pay a price if I were to name some of them,” she said.
I watched the video. Dingell was asked what is your "metoo" and she replied "I had too many of them".

The last sentence in the article:
Im a United states congresswoman Im luckier than 99 percent of the women
But I would still pay a price if I were to name some of them, she said.
'pay a price' ? Would CNN go after her if she outs him/them? All the more reason to speculate that the alleged perp is a 'liberal icon.'
