Howdy, Kathy. And another howdy to your brother.

Been going over his list of things to do this evening so he can knock it out tomorrow? :-) I hope nothing on it will mess with his bum knee. Doesn’t sound like his trip home is going to be much fun since he’ll have surgery. Ouch!

Howdy, beachie. Bummer you have to get up so early tomorrow and couldn’t hang out to play tonight.
Didn’t help I went to a meeting this evening and got home too late to catch ya here.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow.

Howdy, LUV.

Have a good day? Cooling off yet or does that still lie ahead?

Hey, there, radu! I did have a good day! Had a doctor’s appointment this afternoon, but I’m healthy so no worries! My next appointment is a year from now unless I actually get sick. My choice. He wanted me coming back every three months, but I see no purpose in that unless I had a chronic condition like diabetes, and I don’t.

Weather is screwy! Will have a high of 85 tomorrow and of 65 on Saturday. It’s a wonder we are not all sick as dogs!

How was your day? Was the meeting fun? Are you having some nice moderate weather right now? Hope so!

That sure was a good day. Always nice to get a good report from the doctor. Yep, no point in going back every three months except to put more money into his coffers. Ix-nay to that!

Dang, it’s WARM down there! I wouldn’t mind a little of that. LOL! We made it up to 60 today, supposed to drop to around freezing overnight, then back up to mid 60s tomorrow - - with a lot of wind.

It was a busy and fun day. The meeting was good but longer than usual. Lots on the agenda this month.
Came home, took Churchill outside for some exercise since it was warm enough, then got the cats fed and grabbed a quick supper.
Then it was off again to townhall that was supposed to be between two “R” candidates running for Diane Black’s Congressional seat. One is a good friend of mine (I think he has it in the bag) and the other is a RINO. HE didn’t show up and has missed all the townhalls that have been arranged. But Judd went ahead and answered all the questions from the moderator and the group of folks who were there. I sat with his wife and kids and she and I had a nice chat afterwards. A fun night.

I hope the voters remember who showed up and elect your friend, Judd! I’m so tired of RINOs I could spit!

I don’t mind the 60s at all...except for the wind. That makes everything feel more uncomfortable. Glad Churchill got his walkabout. It’s the highlight of his day! :) He has you all to himself at that time.

I don’t think the RINO stands a chance. Judd has a track record from his years as a state representative and it’s a GOOD one. And he’s a pitbull. He’s not afraid to tackle the GOPe. :-)

I don’t mind 60s but those 80s feel a bit better. I need to live on a tropical island to be honest. LOL!
That wind will make tomorrow feel cooler than today did. It was a little cool in the shade but felt great in the sunshine.

Yes, Church and I had a nice time outside. We’d kept the others inside today so they’d be handy at their early suppertime. I didn’t want to be late heading out to the meeting from having to chase those lil stinkers down. They never want to come in as it is.

One nice thing for Church was he didn’t have Big ‘Un and Cooper knocking him over. They take turns rubbing up against him while we’re outside and they do knock him over sometimes.

Church is a special guy and deserves special treatment. Glad you were able to get the rest of the “herd” rounded up before having to take off!

He is a special guy. His momma rejected him at birth and I raised him. We’ve had a tight bond because of it.

No rounding up was necessary today since they all stayed inside. Tomorrow will be a different story since they’ll get to go outside. They play hard to get but give in eventually because they want that canned food for supper. LOL!

We’re going up to the military museum tomorrow afternoon. I want to grab a bunch of their pamphlets to hand to people when I tell them about the place and Hubby is taking a nice Civil War rifle he found as a kid to be displayed on loan.

Oh, that will be a fun jaunt! Have they been able to bring up any more of the wonderful finds from MS?

Wow...your hubby FOUND a Civil War rifle! How cool is that! Has he used it or just displayed it? They will enjoy having it for a bit. Bet it could tell lots of stories!

Indeed it will!
Yes, a few went down last Friday in box trucks to bring back some more items but I don’t know what or how much. No vehicles that trip is all I know. I do hope they brought back “Hambone”, the huge mule statue.

After next week, the museum will close until March and that will give them some time to get more on display as it’s brought up. It’s going to be a lot of work because there’s SO MUCH STUFF!!!! I’ve volunteered to help as best I can.

The railroad tracks cross what’s now a lake but was a rive when Hubby was growing up. Crosses just behind the farm. On each side of the river were guard stations for the soldiers who protected the tracks. Hubby crawled around in them and one day spotted an opening that was pretty small. He was small enough to crawl through and the rifle was back in there. His dad cleaned it up and it’s been tucked away ever since. He hasn’t ever shot it though.
And yes, they’re looking forward to having it on display with other Civil War items that people have loaned them for display.

That’s a very cool story! I can’t imagine living so close to where civil war soldiers stood and went about their business. Needless to say, it’s very isolated out here...and nothing really historical has happened.

I hope they brought the mule statue. it will be very popular especially with the kids!

Guess I’d better go. Whoever is in charge is bringing a hospital bed to the house for Dulcie tomorrow morning and I have no clue exactly when. I won’t be sleeping in I reckon. At least Peaches went out so I can sleep through the night. LOL! He was a right pest last night! Silly kitty!

See ya tomorrow night for some tunes!

Shoot, we live smack dab in the middle of it. Many bullets and other items have been found on the farm over the years. A couple of guys from Jasper still come here each year with their metal detectors in hopes of finding more. Things still pop up in the fields after they’ve been plowed.

We’ll find out tomorrow if Hambone has made it up here yet. We couldn’t bring him back with us when we went down because he really needed to be in an enclosed truck, not on an open trailer.

It sounds like y’all have convinced Dulcie to stay with you. Good! I hope she gets comfortable with the idea quickly and doesn’t feel like she’s a burden.

Good night and sleep well. Sounds lie there’s a good chance of it since Peaches is outside tonight. :-)

Evening, Beach! Kathy!

Hey Kathy, I just watched GRIZZLY MAN. Beautiful scenery. But that guy was so tragically weird & stupid.

Good morning pro ((HUGS))

Hope you slept well.

I had to get up at 0430 but woke about 3:45 and couldn’t go back to sleep. Add in that I didn’t get to sleep until after 9:30 and it’s a recipe for Ms. Grumpy by the afternoon. LOL

Happy FRiday

Good morning Luvy ((HUGS))

Sorry I missed you last night. Unfortunately, I had to post and run, otherwise, I’d have a hard time getting the brain to shut off enough to sleep.

Happy FRiday

Good morning Mayor ((HUGS))

Thank you for the GOOD WORD

It is hard for some people to accept help from others. This is a good reminder.

Happy FRiday
