No wonder Franken was trying to get out ahead of this s-storm. He knew it was about to hit the fan.
The two Senate so-called leaders, mcconnell and schumer, have shown what weasels they truly are by calling for an “ethics investigation” of franken, knowing that it could very well be years before the subject even gets reviewed by the “ethics committee.” Following that, more years before it gets dropped, thanks to a zoe lofgren-like intervention by a friend of franken to tank it all. If these two clowns had any principles at all - I know, I know - they’d demand that the Senate expel franken just as they’ve threatened to do to Roy Moore.

If Franken steps down, the LSM will spin it as him doing the right thing. It could also be spun as giving more credibility to Judge Moore’s accusers, but I don’t think Franken’s ego would let him take a bullet for the team
