Yanagisawa said he was randomly notified by the Japanese foreign ministry about their interest in having him cook for Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during their golf outing at the Kasumi Country Club on Nov. 5.
He was responsible for cooking 20 meals in the country club's kitchen. Trump ordered his burger well done.
After the meal, Trump told Yanagisawa his meal had been "very good, very good."
I felt so honored, the chef said. He added that he was only able to get out "thank you" in the heat of the moment
Yutaka Yanagisawa, the owner of a Tokyo burger joint, said his restaurant has been inundated with hungry customers who want to eat the same cheeseburger that President Trump had during his visit to Japan last week.
One diner, pastry chef Haruyuki Sano, said he agrees with Trump's ideology of putting one's own country first, and traveled an hour and a half to have the same 100 percent U.S. Angus beef Colby Jack Cheeseburger that Trump ordered.
It tasted great, like steak, Sano told an Associated Press reporter at Munchs Burger Shack on Thursday.
The meal, deemed the "President Trump set," is a new addition to the restaurant's menu and has become one of its most popular orders, Yanagisawa said.
For 1,400 yen, about $12, a customer will get a cheeseburger, a side of fries and coleslaw. The burger is served with lettuce, tomato, and melted cheese in between warmed buns.

WaPo: Trump unpopular world-wide, polls show.
After the meal, Trump told Yanagisawa his meal had been “very good, very good.”
So Trump went back in the kitchen to thank the chief..
Who else would do this...not Obama or Mittens
I love this. No fancy-pants meals. No ‘arugula’
How can you eat a hamburger well done...
I was going to grill a prime rib and asked by brother in law how he liked it...he said well done...He got a steak well done..everyone else got prime rib..medium
Jebbie might if he knew the chef was Mexican.

Must have been demodummies that initiated the poll and responded to that same poll. You can word a poll anyway you want to get the desired answers. IMO, “PHONY”
There’s a method to thoroughly cook meat without ruining it that I recently was introduced to, involving low temperature cooking in a vacuum bag immersed in warm-to-hot water called sous vide. Comes out very tender, possibly still too pink for well done people but I do that now for the well done ones in my family so I don’t have to ruin a steak on the grill. Sous vide then grill to get the grill stripes and to minimize the pink, for them. Medium at most for everybody else. It really irritates me to ruin a piece of meat and make it dry and tough just because somebody doesn’t know any better or has a phobia about red meat, so it works out well. They get a nice steak the way they want it, and I don’t have to ruin it. Extra work, though.
Not pickles or joey the perv either.

Trump’s in excellent condition for his age. Perhaps more people should try it.
I read an explanation from a chef that if people have had their meat well done since they were young that’s the way that tastes best to them.
Bill Clinton is a total cad and I hate everything he represents politically but he seems as if he’d be enjoyable company for a beer. Same with Trump, that is if he drank beer. Hillary, that’s another animal entirely. I’d think she would bad vibe any room that she enters, a total miserable shrew unless she wanted something from you.
Sous-vide cooking. A friend does it and claims it comes out perfect everytime.
The meat remains pink and is not browned on the outside, to the downside. To the upside, it’s fork tender and very moist.
POTUS Trump orders his Ribeye Well Done when he eats at his Hotel in D.C.
I remember he ordered it the same way on the Campaign Trail in Texas and people were mortified.
My Wife always ordered Beef Well Done. After 30 Years I finally got her down to Medium Well. LOL
Looks like I’ll be having a Cheeseburger for Lunch today. Yummy...
I’m surprised that the Cheeseburger with Fries and Coleslaw is only $12.00 in Japan. That’s Red Robin pricing here.
I like well done but not burnt. You just have to cook it slow. I prefer it being dry and a bit chewy. That is what I am used to and like it that way. The steak isn’t ruined unless it is burnt black. If it is a problem, either don’t serve steak or don’t invite people who like it well done.
Trump’s burger and fries was only $12 because it was at the country club. Elite clubs often charge may under market for the food since the membership pays hefty fees for initiation and monthly dues. If he had it in a restaurant in the heart of Tokyo, it would have been $50 or more.
