Hmm... Is this good or bad news for GA?

Sorry, just realized this is not a done deal yet. I should have asked:

Would this be good or bad news for GA if Amazon picks Atlanta?

Austin Texas will get it.

They are considered number 1 for it.

Connecticut... According to the Whalers forum... (DeplorableAmerican1776 was a Whaler ticket holder when they were in Hartford).

LOL, isn't that the forum that constantly predicts the Whalers will be returning "soon" to the failed, pathetic, BROKE city of Hartford?

By whom are they considered “number 1?” People in Texas? Careful what you wish for, Texas is already starting to turn purple from the Californians.

If you need a job or want to sell your house it would be good news. Other than that, I’d say not.

Yes, I agree. I just thought perhaps there might be a bunch of techy liberals invading the Red State of GA. Although Atlanta is very Blue...

Wall Street Journal and Business Insider both say it.

I would say good news for both Georgia and Saint Marys.

Good for Georgia from the jobs and tax revenue.

Good for Saint Marys in that they are 5.5 hours drive away. We already have an Amazon regional distribution point in Jacksonville so service can't get much better.

Thanks... very interesting. Seems many FReepers think that Austin, TX will be the new location. Time will tell...
