"The crazy thing is that the neighbor has been shooting a lot of bullets lately, hundreds of rounds, large magazines," Flint said. "We made it aware that this guy has been crazy, and he's been threatening us and everything. I just feel like there maybe should have been more effort put into stopping things like this."I just feel like there is an agenda lurking somewhere. (color me insensitive) It just all seems too convenient.

The most likely scenario is that neighbors called to complain, but weren’t willing to file a formal complaint.
Somehow I’ve gotta believe that LEO’s should have taken the verbal complaints more seriously, and will be chastised for having failed.
