Donald Trump shuns Japanese food for American burger

Japan might be routinely hailed as one of the best places in the world for food but that has not inspired Donald Trump to deviate from his strict all-American diet, Independent reported.

There was not a trace of ramen, sushi or tempura on President Trump’s plate at a casual lunch with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Sunday.

The billionaire property developer instead relished in eating a hamburger sourced from American beef during his first trip to Japan as President.

Mr Trump chose to have his burger well-done as he has become so famed for doing with his steaks.

President Trump played golf with Mr Abe at the Kasumigaseki Country Club - alongside professional golfer Hideki Matsuyama - on his first day in the country. According to an excerpt from the book “Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J Trump”, during a trip to Japan back in 1990 Mr Trump said he would not eat "f***ing raw fish" and instead devoured a hamburger at McDonald's which cheered him up massively.

Trump has insulted the Japanese by eating a hamburger in Japan. He has wrecked the consensus in Asia and has destroyed any credibility we have in the region. He should resign because of his incompetence. And be beheaded. Yes, beheaded! And take that hideous wife of his and skewer her on a cavalry lance! And Barron, that little beast, should be fed to lions!

To each his own, but Japanese food has to be the best in the world. I hope they put a Japanese tomato on his hamburger ... they are an experience in themselves ... maybe he noticed.

Some folks like raw fish, some do not.
Eat what you like.

What’s news am? More pissants parading as news sources?

Beats me. The story originally appeared in The Independent, and I tried posting it, but got a message the posting from that source wasn't allowed. This was the only other source for the story that I could find.

“Japanese food has to be the best in the world”

To scrawny malnourished runts, maybe. Normal people, not so much.

[Going on my 26th and 27th cruises before Christmas.]

How many pounds have you packed on over the years on cruises with their endless dining experiences?

I do not care what he eats. If we wanted someone with a cast iron stomach to lead us, we’d have elected Anthony Bourdain president.

I would have scarfed down the sushi but I get a kick out of Donald Trumps non-PC eating habits. Its his own business.

My son travels to Japan & South Korea for his company. He told me that at one lunch break in South Korea they brought in Pizza Hut pizza.

Watch, now it’ll be stylish in Japan to eat hamburgers.

Go Donald!

One of my favorite meals is 8 ounces (half a pound!) of grass fed beef grilled and put on a brioche roll with a thick slice of swiss cheese, mushrooms and grilled hot peppers on top. The hamburger is definitely underrated because it is associated with McDonalds and fast food. But a good burger cooked at home is fine eating.

Actually over in Japan, kobe burgers are considered fine cuisine. It's dumb, ignorant liberals who think they are only about rice and raw fish. So Trump having a burger with Abe was Japanese cuisine after all.
