Chain migration happens when a legal immigrant is granted a Green Card (permanent resident visa) and then he/she can sponsor multitude of relatives for more Green Cards. The Jihadi terrorist green card holder from Uzbekistan who mowed down pedestrians and bicyclists with a rented truck, was granted a "diversity" visa. Then he sponsored 20+ of his relatives, all of whom received green cards! It did not matter if those relatives had any skills good for US economy, or if they brought any wealth with them. For all we know, they could all went straight to government assistance of one kind or other.

We are all worried about the 800,000 dreamers, while almost 20,000,000 Legal immigrants have come in 25 years, without any test of skills, language or wealth. At least the dreamers speak English and grow up with American culture. That is not even close with those 20 Million legal chain immigrants.

Our country do well to adopt immigration policies of New Zealand. To be granted permanent residence visa in NZ, one must have skills in demand in NZ with a job offer, or bring $1.5 million minimum with them to invest in NZ. On top of that all prospective immigrants must pass an English proficiency test administered by the government of New Zealand. The result is, NZ has no problem with immigrants going on welfare or end up in prison.

A couple of years ago I had the idea of applying for Australia's version of the Green Card.I visited a website which was,IIRC,their official Immigration Dept website and took some kind of test.I guess to be approved you have to score a certain number of points.Well,I didn't...because,basically,I was too old and didn't have a skill that was in short supply there. IIRC being under a certain age earned you many points,as did fluency in English, education, clean record, etc.

Same thing happened with me... Since most polls were predicting Hillary to win presidency, I checked out how to immigrate to New Zealand. I had conversations with their embassy and received several emails with details of immigration policies. Since I am Medicare age, I could not qualify based on skills, but would qualify if I invested $10 Million in new Zealand economy. Fortunately Donald Trump prevailed, so I put my NZ project on indefinite hold.

We can start with shutting and locking the damned back door. THEN we will discuss how to keep them from picking the lock.

I can’t watch Laura anymore, it bothers me when she asks her guest a question then steps on the conversation trying to answer it, just like Hannity.

I have a Washington DC newspaper article that lists my great uncle as one immigrant who failed his citizenship test. Around 1910, he had been working in the USA about 10 years in restaurants after coming from Sweden. He later owned a restaurant, a glass washing machine factory and was an award winning Navy contractor durring WW II.
He and my grandmother came over with two other brothers and a sister. Don’t know who came first but they all got jobs and had families. Uncle Anders Rudolf Lofstrand made millions and was a very generous Shriner.

I HATE that stuff. I would be the worst guest. I would just stop talking until prompted to continue and then ask if I would be allowed to finish my sentence.

All my pets are peeves

According to Ann Coulter, the NYC truck driver terrorist brought in 23 additional relatives through "chain migration", the current immigration policy.
If he brought in 23 immigrants, all 23 should be immediately deported to their country of origin.
If they married an American and got a green card as a result, the spouse should be offered the choice to return to the country of spouse's origin and renounce American citizenship
or the opportunity to file for divorce due to citizenship 'abandonment'.

When someone in that "Chain immigration" commits an act of terrorism, all others in that chain, having not reported the perp's unusual or criminal behavior to authorities,
lose any opportunity for citizenship, and are immediately subject to deportation without legal redress.

Note that this policy would incorporate both terrorism, and criminal behavior.
According to Ann Coulter, "chain migration" accounts for 72 % of all immigration into the United States.

Steve Wozniak just paid $5,000.000.00 for citizenship in Australia. Money talks everywhere.
