On May 17, 2017, Mueller was appointed as Special Counsel by Rosenstein. The following morning Trump tweeted:

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!

>>Do you agree with our president that there is a lack of investigation on all of the above mentioned Democrat scandals?

>>Yes or no.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I agree with President Trump’s actual words, but NOT with your characterization of them.

You need to read more carefully.

How about, “DO SOMETHING.” Trump tweeted that too. Did he tweet it because something is already being done, or because something needs to be done?

We'll see what happens tomorrow, and hopefully one or both of the Podesta’s will be charged, but based on what most believe to be the facts there's probably little chance of that.

This whole BS pipe dream theory actually seems to be constructed to make Mueller look like some sort of righteous angel, when there's actually significant evidence to the contrary, and setting Trump up to look weak and ineffective, when he doesn't actually live up to the superhero storyline.

I've just seen too much glorification of Mueller in the fable. The whole thing is probably a liberal psyop and they're laughing at how deep some on here have swallowed the hook.

“Bannon hates Kushner “

How do you know that to be absolute objective fact?

Okay. Let's piece it all together and see what we have.

Trump:

Among the points that Trump is making are these three points.

1.)The Republicans are angry and unified by the lack of an investigation.

2.)The R's are now fighting back like never before.

3.)Trump wants something done.

What do you think he means in each of those three points.

I'd love for the "righteous angel" theory to be correct. But I don't think that it probably is. And if the theory is false, then it's actually doing Trump and the rest of us damage.

Read your own excerpts. He is talking about R. responses to to the perceived lack of investigation.

He NEVER SAYS THERE IS NO INVESTIGATION.

He is talking about perceptions. He is maneuvering the media where he wants it, as usual.

That is an excellent analysis. You caused me to remember the two schools of thought re Comey. Before he was fired many thought he was a crooked swampster, but it seemed like just as many thought he was high-minded and noble. More info has since emerged, and it turns out he’s a Clinton-crony from way back.

Yet here we are again, doing it all over with Mueller. Mueller is Comey’s mentor. As FBI Director Mueller watched the Clintons make one deal after another with Russia but did nothing.

This is a white knight? The imaginations of some just get the better of them.

Since it's been widely reported that Grassley’s committee in the Senate and Nunes’s committee in the House *ARE* actually starting to look into “Clinton Collusion,” it would appear his strong words were meant for those in the DoJ, starting with Jeff Sessions.

Trump must have been advised that he can't easily just fire Sessions, et al, at least not yet, so he will just continue to berate them publicly until he feels he has the political support to do it. At least that's pretty clearly what it looks like to me.

Point out where he named Mueller in that tweet- I can’t spot it.

Conspicuously absent, just like in today’s twitter storm.

Oh, I read them. You should read them again.

Trump didn't use the word "perceived", that's your added word.

He NEVER SAYS THERE IS NO INVESTIGATION.

He says "DO SOMETHING". He uses scream caps. Who do you think he's addressing that to and what do you think he wants done?

This has been my view since Bannon left the WH. From that time on, Breitbart has printed every nasty piece of anti-Kushner gossip they could get their hands on. It’s all in my posting history. I got so sick of seeing Breitbart anti-Kushner gossip posted on this site that at one point I actually posted that I hate Breitbart (the site, not the founder).

It cannot possibly help Trump to have all this unsourced Kushner-hate posted on a leading conservative site. It’s repulsive.

Then there’s the example in my original post, which you glossed over. Bannon’s overheated rhetoric re Comey’s firing makes no sense in and of itself. It makes perfect sense, however, as part of the ax Bannon is grinding against Kushner.

If there’s a witch hunt, does there not have to be a witch hunter? On the morning after he was appointed, Mueller had not yet assembled his team. He was the lone Witch Hunter on May 18, 2017.

Good point about how the liberals have been able to falsify Comey’s integrity as well.

Another major tipoff to me that the whole Mueller fable is too good to be true is how one key fact keeps getting misconstrued by those who so strongly believe it, yet none of them ever seem to catch it, or correct one another. It's a critical fact regarding Podesta’s involvement with Manafort, with regard to Russia, and those parroting this theory always say Manafort was working for Podesta, so Podesta is the big fish, when the truth is actually the other way around.

This should have been one of the very first things they verified before they not only fell for, but started repeating this conjecture. This leads me to believe those apparently falling for it to the point of repeating it aren't really looking into it all. If true, only question seems to be if they're knowingly participating in the fraud, or just don't have the necessary skills to analyze the situation themselves. With all due respect to our well meaning friends here, of course.

‘President Trump on Friday called the investigation into allegations of Russia collusion and claims he obstructed justice “ridiculous” while saying special counsel Robert Mueller’s friendship with fired FBI Director James Comey “is very bothersome,” during a wide-ranging interview on “Fox & Friends” that also touched on his stalled legislative agenda and the health care debate.’

snip

‘“I can say that the people that have been hired are all Hillary Clinton supporters, some of them worked for Hillary Clinton,” Trump said. “I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous if you want to know the truth.”’

Sessions is carrying out the plan that he and Trump designed before the election. Why would Trump fire him?

If some of the Sessions critics would read even the tiniest bit of Sun Tzu they might figure out what is going on. But probably not.

Trump and Sessions certainly aren’t in the business of giving their targets a heads up.

Oddly enough if they were to issue a press release announcing that Hillary and her friends are the targets of a criminal investigation they might hear about it.

So they won’t. In fact they will disguise what they are doing.

And it will just remain a big mystery how Trump isn’t as smart as all of the FR brain trust who just know that Sessions is a total incompetent.

Yeah? So?

Do you actually think that Trump never uses misdirection?

You’re not paying attention at all if you think that everything he says should be taken at face value.

Very interesting! I haven’t myself looked very closely into the Manafort-Podesta affiliation, so your info was appreciated, along with the insights.

My take is wishful thinking. Things would have been a lot better for both Trump and the country if Comey had been the straight arrow many at one time believed him to be.

Ditto Mueller. If he’s as dirty and biased as many believe, that is just another nail in the coffin of the idea that decent ‘public servants,’ exist anywhere any more. It’s much more hopeful and encouraging to imagine that indeed they do exist, and Mueller is one of them. A person could sleep better at night believing that.

Well soon we’ll know. Supposedly the announcement comes in the morning.
