Hillary Clinton joked on Friday about how she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, tried to ditch President Trump’s inauguration ceremony -- and she even let out a curse word while describing how a different president described Trump's speech.
“And it was reported that George W. Bush, as it ends, says, ‘That was some weird s—t,’” she said on BBC’s “Graham Norton Show” with a laugh, to which host Graham Norton replied, “And it was.”
Clinton said she had called more than one previous president to see if they were attending the inauguration.
“I really tried to get out of going,” Clinton recalled after Norton said her attendance was “Shakespearean.”
“We thought, maybe others aren’t going. So we called the Bushes, and the elder Bushes were in the hospital, which I think was legitimate,” Clinton said to a laughing crowd.

I’m glad she was right up front there with Bill and the Obamas. The look on their faces when Trump dissed them and started talking about the forgotten men and women was priceless. They looked like they crapped their pants.
If she had never conceded, the press would treated her as prez.

Normally, Norton brings out his guests one at a time and fills the couch. Hillary was already sitting on the couch when Norton greeted her. Nobody else was brought out and Norton spent way too long talking to her. Even fast-forwarding through it took forever.
When it was over and during the break, Hillary left or was hauled out, guests came on and a normal show unwound. Hillary didn’t stay to talk to anyone.
Sadly, I believe her comment about George W.
The really weird inauguration speech was JFK’s. He took the oft-used line about American being the hope for the world and placed the United Nations in as the last best hope.
Christ said that the poor are with us always but JFK said that man has in his power the ability to eliminate poverty world wide (or in contrast destroy the world).
