I like movies, but I won’t go see movies that mock religious people, excessive blood and guts, monster movies, or movies pushing perverts. After those, there’s hardly any left.
Reminds me of a few years ago of a large Chevy model that had very poor sales, can’t remember the name. GM executives said they didn’t know why since they had focus-group testing, etc. I could tell them why in three seconds:
It was ugly.
It was UGLY.

It’s kind of sad. First you think about all those leading ladies defiled and humiliated by Harvey Dollbanger and then you think about all the ones who probably went along with his crass come-ons, and you just really don’t want to go to the movies anymore.

On the other hand, movies like “God Isn’t Dead,” “Firewall,” and “War Room” made nice, tidy profits.
Maybe the Christian studios will rise triumphant, and the capital of the industry will move out of Hollywood.

I get sick of watching some skinny little woman that benches 110 lbs beating up some white guy that would destroy her with one punch—it’s stupidly unbelievable. Also, every movie has some African good guy, who is also a genius, leading the victors over some half-witted white guy, or an astonishingly brilliant queer who turns out to be the tough guy that triumphs over some homophobic Nazi.
