Report: NFL To Bankroll ‘Social Activism Boot Camp’ For Pro Athletes
Daily Caller ^ | 10/16/17 | Peter Hasson

The NFL is going to bankroll a “social activism boot camp” for professional athletes in February, according to a new report.

“The league has agreed to finance a social activism boot camp at Morehouse College in February,” ESPN’s Jim Trotter reported on Monday.

The boot camp will reportedly take place over two days and will include professional athletes from other leagues besides the NFL. “And then, the organizers of that curriculum will work with the players throughout the year to try and teach them to get their message out and be most effective with it,” Trotter added.

The NFL has also reportedly agreed to back criminal justice reform legislation recently introduced by a bipartisan group of senators.

The NFL’s reported moves follows players lobbying the league for more support for their political activism. Recent surveys have found that Americans want professional athletes to keep their political activism off the field.

The Trump administration needs to make it clear that any foreign national athlete who protests against America will lose his/her Visa.

February - how optimistic. Will the NFL have any funds left by then?

Always remember :

1. Taxpayers built most of the NFL’s stadiums and will pay interest on any debt incurred by construction of these stadiums.

2. You fund the NFL’s minor leagues via state college football programs. They aren’t “self funding”.

The NFL owners need welfare for their business infrastructure, but they’re flush with cash for programs involving social justice and are fine with players virtually pissing on the national anthem of the United States.

Remember that if you think you should support the frigging “sport”.

I’d make the kneelers pay for it. Why should the NFL pay? This whole thing gets more ridiculous daily.

The NFL should have a seminar on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights by a Hillsdale College professor. The next seminar should be on flag history and etiquette by the American Legion.

Afterwards, each player can select his own issue(s) for which to be an advocate ON HIS OWN TIME—not company time.

In contrast, group advocacy is improper and violation of individual rights because it’s forced upon all players, whether they agree with it or not. It may force a player to support a position (which may even have nothing to do with his occupation) they may disagree with. Even if the player agrees with the position, he may disagree with the manner of protest/advocacy. At that point, the players union actually should stand up for those players who are railroaded into particular issue advocacy in which they do not wish to participate. Unless it’s a universally accepted issue like supporting fighting cancer, issue advocacy is an individual choice that should have nothing to do with a nonpartisan workplace!

agreed to back criminal justice reform legislation recently introduced by a bipartisan group of senators.

The only criminal justice "reform" that would satisfy them would be to forbid the arrest of anyone of color... for any reason at all.

It seems the NFL has decided that they desire to take the group rate for the E-ticket ride down the tubes. Or, as Bette Davis said, “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night!”

Mighty nice of them to offer retraining for the players so they will have something to do after the NFL evaporates. /s

Incredibly stupid, perhaps the owners & commissioner have suffered too many concussions themselves.

If I were a truly patriotic team member, I would certainly be seeking my options for employment. This country is going, going, . . . .

Goodell is a fully invested tool of the Left.

This is unbelievable.

Even having folks from other sports.

Commies are now into American sports and they will subvert them also.

For the cause.

Report: NFL To Bankroll ‘Social Activism Boot Camp’ For Pro Athletes

I have a couple of additional items for the curriculum:

1) Basic reading and writing to at least 4th-grade level.

2) Study and corporal enforcement of Christian moral laws, especially as regards stealing and coveting the goods, wives, and daughters of others, and respect for God and country--as indicated in such sources as the Ten Commandments, the Baltimore Catechism, or the Letters of St. Paul.

“The NFL has also reportedly agreed to back criminal justice reform legislation”

Watch out. “Criminal Justice Reform” is CODE LANGUAGE for going to back to the revolving door policies that sent crime THROUGH THE ROOF from the 1960s through the 1980s. Be very scared when you hear that term...we’re talking about reversing things like the decline in murders in NYC from about 2000 per year (~1990) to 250 per year (recent years).

Sadly there are some Republicans who, after being tricked and lied to non-stop by the Democrats, once again TAKE THE BAIT here and are willing to help the Democrats push it. A HUGE SUPPORTER of it was Eric Cantor...but thankfully, of course, we dispatched him.
