Yay - there it is! I loved the Mouseketeers. There is a new Jessica Chastain movie coming - I saw it (trailer) with a really crude Owen Wilson movie trailer just before "American Made".

"Wait, the whole article was here, no clicky-the-linky"

Hmmmm...did I say anything about not wanting to click on the link?

"See my tag line"

I could not give less of a damn about what your tagline says. However I doubt I'd be impressed by it. Have a nice day.

I could have done a better job than pre-crime did when it came to predicting how Tom’s marriages would have ended up.

Which is why it took three Decades to out Harvey Weinstein.

Predicting is one thing.

Catching is another.

Especially when the authorities really don't want to catch somebody.

My gait slowed when I messed up my knee. Then it slowed to a crawl when I stepped over the dog and he decided to roll over onto my foot and I hit the ground hard. Trying to recoup this summer, the doc prescribed two powerful drugs so guess I’m going to blow just any minute. Never mind I took one of the first prescription and never opened the second. Still can barely walk. But, hey statistics! Y’all watch out! Who’s knows what will happen if I ever do open that other bottle. Total carnage! 98.7% the dog’s fault.

In truth, we have the scientific ability to forecast when a violent attack is likely. It may not be 100%, but it is accurate enough to identify individuals who are prone to carrying out mass attacks, as well as when they may be preparing to act

But this ability raises a slew of difficult ethical and legal questions. If a computer model shows you are 90% likely to commit a violent act in the next few days what should and can we do? Even more to the point, what if the information required to make a 100% accurate assessment requires monitoring private information such as medical records? In Paddock’s case, his father was a diagnosed violent psychopath—an heritable trait. Is that information something law enforcement should have access to?

Not a particularly compelling analysis of self-evident predictive capabilities in today's computer world.

Rebecca Costa could have asked a question raised by her topic that has a much sharper edge.

Who or what organization that has actual access to this kind of deep personal information as well as powerful computer-driven analytics could have used these tools to recruit Paddock for the Mandalay Bay enterprise?

***And as experts comb through... we will uncover a pattern of behavior headed for a dangerous criticality.***

ok. well. How does this stuff fit into the pattern? He visited a senior center on Thursday, at about 11am? And how does this overlap with Marilou’s role as ‘more of a caregiver’ vs ‘he turned my life around’ ?

“...sometimes up to three times a week,” David Blake, 81, told the site.“He’s been coming in at least a year...”

I want to more about Bruce. The ‘friend/landlord’ says he ‘knew of’ Stephen, but had never met him. How did he know of Stephen and did Bruce visit Stephen?

Seems to me that the families of the dead and those who were wounded have good cause to sue for negligence on the part of the event operator. (I also believe that is true of every other “gun free” zone where similar murders have occurred).

Allowing guns in this gun-free zone would not have changed the outcome.

I also suspect he was tagged on the autism scale, probably in the area of asperger's.

His former neighbor calls Michael Savage:

Reminds me of the psychiatrists telling everyone Trump is a sociopath.

Are you a psychiatrist?

No, but I am a keen observer and have read a great deal on the subject. The LV shooter was pretty well known in the casinos and gun stores around Reno where I reside and consequently in circles of friends of mine. His behavior changed over time to become more withdrawn and reclusive in recent months. The usual suspects in the profiling world aren’t on tv 24/7 talking about this shooter - that is very telling.

BTW Trump is not a sociopath per the current definition(based upon his public behavior).
