Why the secrecy surrounding Las Vegas security guard hero Jesus Campos?

I understand Mr. Campos had a series of interviews lined up which apparently have all been cancelled. Even president of the Security Police and Fire Professionals Union thought his disappearance seems, "Highly unusual".

And now we hear Mr. Campos has checked into some, "Clinic"? Isn't that what is done often when they want someone hidden from public view?

“Agree. Its too easy to say something honest if he just gets out there and talks. Got to get the cover story together to protect the casino.”

Just out of curiosity, what do you think he might say?

And the public thinks it’s entitled to the video why?

There were hundreds of innocents who where brutally shot with many shot to death. Just a wild guess, but the victims, extended families, loved ones, friends of the victims, which likely number into several thousand, would probably like to know. Forget the video, it's been over two weeks now, and not even a peep about motive...lol

Also, with only one suspect named so far, this should not be an overly complex investigation.

If, as we heard, he made trips to the ME, I’d believe ISIS’s claim that he was one of them.

What the hell can we believe, though?

But all the cops who stormed the room all gave nationally televised interviews. So did Stephen Schuck, the building engineer who was with Campos.

The only one who seems to be in hiding is the alleged hero, Campos.

Btw, I can't tell you how many cases I'm familiar with where it turned out the, "Hero" was the guilty suspect.

I'm not saying Campos is a suspect, I'm just sayin.☺

It appears they’re suggesting *******, who appeared well off with lots of assets, just mysteriously decided one day to go to the Mandalay Bay Hotel, and shoot hundreds of innocent people for no particular reason.

Several historical examples of things like that. The Austin Tower shooting in 1966.

The McDonalds Shooting in California, 1984

The Killen Texas shooting at Luby’s 1991

They are called rampage killings, in part, because they do not make much sense.

A tiny percentage of people have suicidal impulses, and decide to take as many with them as they can. It is much magnified by the copycat effect promoted by the media.

This is looking more and more to be one of them, but we may never know for sure.

I blanked out his name, because I refuse to be part of the problem.

And there were motives and or reasons for those. Yet not a peep from Law enforcement regarding motive here, with an army of investigators digging...

And interesting you brought up the San Ysidro McDonald's shooting, Motive and irony there to.

The suspect was a security guard and was fired from this position one week before the McDonald's shooting.

It took a while to find or piece together motives, and to agree on what they were.

There are plenty of motives for the current shooting. Mental problems, depression, suicidal impulses, outsider, family history of anti-social behavior.

Take your pick.

And regarding the Killen shooting, definite motive there. It was said the suspect hated blacks, Hispanics etc and didn’t like women either. In fact, when he shot several women, he called them bitches prior to shooting them.

So those shootings you mentioned, do make sense in the fact there were motives and or reasons the suspect did what they did.

Right, but you said, “They’re called rampage killings, in part, because they do not make much sense”.

They made perfect sense once, once the motives become clear. And that did not take long in any of those case you mentioned.

There are plenty of motives for the current shooting.

I have yet to hear law enforcement give a single motive for this event. I think you're talking about speculation.

No, I think what happened is we found ways to make them seem to make sense.

Shooting up a McDonalds and killing lots of people because you were fired? Makes no sense.

Similar to other events. We put together a narrative later, to help us “make sense” of it.

And, it takes time. It took plenty of time in the other instances. It certainly was not done in a couple of days.

The idea that we do not have an obvious motive yet, and we should, is a structure of our minds, not the mass killers.

He may have deliberately *not* left a manifesto or note, simply to create this effect. He seems to have been a pretty good manipulator.

What do you mean? Of course it makes sense and it happens all the time. I could show ya countless work place shootings where the shooter definitely has a motive, either real or falsely perceived but nevertheless, the shooter still believed he had a motive and more often than not, they make their motives known.

And btw, just because you see no motive to shoot people because someone got fired, certainly does not mean the shooters felt the same way you do.☺

There are plenty of motives that are that good in the current situation. You seem to be upset that the authorities have not found a smoking gun for one or more of them. The most obvious one is he was suicidal and wanted to take out a lot of people with him, to create "fame" as a sort of immortality. We have lots of examples of that. He had no religious inhibitor to short circuit that motive. He had an anti-social father as an example, and the U.S. media made it clear his name would be immortalized. It seems to be the best working hypothesis.

You continue to confuse motive with speculation. There has been no motive given from law enforcement. But there is lots of speculation.

And I'm not upset at all, not sure where ya got that. In fact, I think it's all fascinating given one of the biggest nastiest crimes in U.S. history and going on 3 weeks now, and not a peep regarding motive from law enforcement.

“he was suicidal”.

Where did you see/hear that? I’ve only read Paddock’s father “reportedly has suicidal tendencies”.

Ok, law enforcers have not stated a particular motive.

I do not find that weird or particularly meaningful. Maybe no one wants to stick their neck out.

We have Miami papers still claiming no one knows why the self-proclaimed Muslim Jihadist shot up the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. We have recordings of him stating his motive.

Maybe someone in law enforcement said: He was a Muslim Jihadist, that was his motive, but I have not seen it.

Here is a link to an Orlando story from this year, saying law enforcement has “plenty of theories” but few answers.
