No, you had it right to begin with. It was a fatal crash. The perp they were chasing died at the scene. The truck driver was airlifted to the Salt Lake City trauma center unconscious and in critical condition.
“The motive remains the same.”
Yes, It’s us vs. them it this instance, as well as too many others. I suspect though, that this was a top down deal. The Logan Chief of Police probably realized he’d be on the hot seat with his city, if the injured guy sued, so he called in a favor from his “buddy,” the CoP of SLCPD. And the problem was compounded by guys like Payne who are only too happy to execute the orders given irrespective of their lawfulness.
It’s just sad, unless Wubbells sues, to put all the blame where it really belongs.
Amen to that!
Excellent
I was referring to the truck driver victim. You are correct, the suspect being pursued died on impact. Yep.
So sorry for this nurse. She was horrified, in the hands of Crazy Man, begging for help as if asking, “Is this America?”. Nightmares, forever, poor girl.
Shocking.
The man died about a week ago.
You couldn’t be more correct, he definitely was a crazy man that she tried to reason with but there’s no reasoning with someone like him.
He should be indicted for criminal assault and sued by the hospital and this nurse in civil suits.
Our justice system should make an example with this turkey.
Not just assault.
Assault and battery, kidnapping, deprivation of rights under the color of authority, and on and on.
Had it been your me doing this the D.A. would have thrown the book at us.
Instead, expect that he will be quietly terminated, then hired by another Police or Sheriff's department.
Mark my words, we have not heard the last of Mr. Jeff Payne...
Love that nurse, how many others has he bullied into submission this way? She is a hero.
William Bill Allen Gray, 44, of Rigby passed away Monday September 25, 2017 at the University of Utah Hospital.
“I was just following orders.”
No. Not nearly enough. Now he needs to be run up on various charges of abuse under color of law and conspiracy (all substantiated by the bodycam video) then hung out to dry as an example to all LEOs that think this kind of conduct is acceptable.
Amen! She stood up against this turkey for what was right and was assaulted by him.
She is a hero, plain and simple.
See #45, just 2 above your post.
“Now put his ass in jail.”
Excellent! Some honor left in some deoartments.Get rid of these hideos frauds hiding behind badges and guns.
The truck driver, Bill Gray, who was the innocent victim the nurse was defending also died.
I stopped following the story after viewing the videos of these cops and reading reports regarding the hospital incident. The victim died huh? Too bad.
What did they say about all the debris coming off the suspect vehicle seconds to pre-impact? I’d guess his tire coming apart just before he lost control and crossed into the opposing lanes.
I only knew that Bill Gray died because I donated to help his wife out and she announced it on her donation page.
The garbage in BLM are mudding up the waters by claiming police wrongdoing where there isn't any and hiding un a smoke screen of false accusations the real problems.
Case I GA where a SWAT raid on the wrong house got a toddler in his playpen severely burned by a flashbang - not only were the police found not culpable, but the county was found not liable for the kid's extensive $100,000+ medical bills. The dickless tracy that got the wrong place walked away to do it another day.
*Whenever you read of a police abuse case going to a grand jury you can put money in the bank by betting the cop will not be charged.
