Did braking out the window bring the security guard? Recognizing the outer glass ‘curtain wall’ was breaken...yes that’s the proper term...the glass phasade is hung on the building, it’s called a curtain wall. (I’m a Structural Engineer.). Floors above and below may well have heard the smashing glass.

Maybe he only poked a small hole in the glass and the blast from breach blew out the rest... Curious if this was a safety glass that might hold together when broken - like a car window
