I know, right? You can imagine all the virtue-signalling WF shoppers in Mao jackets or something.

Curious to know how they're going to like rubbing elbows with the new EBT-card-carrying customers the price drops will surely bring.

I’ll never shop at Whole Foods ......

I won’t but for different reasons. Jeff Bezoes owns Washington Post. No news outlet creates more fake news for liberal agenda than the Washington Post.

And there is not one anywhere near me helps too.

I am always good for a boycott. I’ve got so many going I can’t name them all. My Whole Foods boycott is easy because there aren’t any in my area.

I'll never shop at Whole Foods for the same reason I'll never buy an Apple product....don't like their ambiance...don't like their smugness....won't have anything to do with a company that attracts owners of Volvos and BMW SUVs.

I seldom go there unless I need some supplement or other that I cannot get elsewhere and cannot wait for it to come in from an online order. My main complaint is that you are not allowed to carry concealed in their stores, but I agree with your points. I would add a few more: tattooed, pierced and ponytailed or man-bun-wearing cashiers and electric car recharge stations.

I don’t like having to rub elbows with people who go to Whole Foods so they won’t have to rub elbows with people like me!

And the whole organic thing is a scam anyway, like AGW. They simply use the crap for fertilizer instead of the chemicals the crap must break down into to be used by the plants.

Some form of dumping is going on here. Amazon can sell food at a loss for a time in order to wipe out others by propping it up from other operations.. Then prices jack up. Much as I hate WF I can’t believe the profit margin was so high that it could cut prices 40+% and not be hemmoraging money.

So you define what is good for you by those that find it useful for them?

Seems an odd way to decide what’s worthy of your time or not.

I go to a local pizza shop that makes great pie, I don’t avoid the place because other who I don’t agree with enjoy their pizza as well..

But to each their own.

Personally never been to a Whole Foods because, their prices are insane and their isn’t one near me. I do go to Trader Joe’s near my work, to buy snacks for my office... honestly thhe quality of their fruits, vegetables and nuts are better than any of the national brands and the price is uslly on par or lower for these items than I find in most other super markets. Other things are grotesquely too expensive for my taste... particularly their meats

I like my cylinders air-chilled. The fins on chicken might be hard to pick out of my teeth.

“Also, I believe that Amazon will be using the Whole Foods infrastructure and distribution centers to get into the meal kit delivery business.”

Watching late night tv last night I saw a commercial for Omaha Steaks.
They have gotten into the crock pot meal game.
They send a food kit with the meat, vegetables, spices and broths necessary for a crock pot meal.

I have seen OS commercials before but this was a new one to me.

If 25% of Walmart is going to Whole Foods, are they going to have dress code? Or new pics of Whole Foods Shoppers?

Might there be some marketing problems caused by attracting Wal-Mart shoppers to Whole Foods? Might the current typical Whole Foods shopper not welcome their new visitors to the aisles?

well of course people will check out or recheck out whole foods if prices have lowered.

I didn’t realize whole foods cut some prices. I may stop by one more time to see. I had boycotted whole foods due to their severely overpricing items/brands you could find elsewhere cheaper.

Bagging on Amazon seems to be the new favorite thing to do. Not you OP but in general.

What people don't realize is that there are thousands of regular Americans who make a great living selling products on Amazon either through their FBA program or seller fulfilled. It is the equivalent of a mom and pop shop in many cases. There are people making millions off Amazon, there are people makung 6 figures, there are stay at home moms making a few extra hundred dollars a month for extra cash. Read the story about Death Wish Coffee. The guys a millionaire now. He was running a failing coffee shop and had, like, $300 in the bank.

Heck, occasionally I sell stuff on there.

No big shocker.

Years ago, when a new grocery store would open, it would have ridiculously low prices for a while to attract customers. Such stores were usually packed with customers. Then, after the newness and sales ended, the customer traffic would decrease.

They were usually called something like: Grand Opening Sale.

I raised our own meat chix for a number of years. They were slaughtered and packed into cartons with bags of Ice for the trip home. We packaged them at home. They were all rinsed in our well water and dried prior to packaging.
I wouldn’t eat a chicken that had not been rinsed.
