Parades, marathons, etc in any major city all have security overwatch, here we have major city, transient city, prime terrorist target for tourism, has open air concert, not in a venue, with thousands of people outside. Where’s the guys with binos and counter snipers? It’s not brain surgery to watch all elevated positions for an attack.

Someone who is better at math and knows the thermal outputs can tell you , fer sher. Tannerite has a very quick boom, but it aint $hit compared to ANFO. That could have made a BOOM.
I would have been looking for the AVGAS tanks but I’m not a terrorist like that.
thanks. i am no expert in any of this myself. if you have knowledge/training that something like tannerite could be used as a detonator for a more powerful explosive, then i would think that that would be relevant to this discussion.

I think the louder sounding shots at the first of the Taxi video is of a .308 weapon (AR-10 or FN-FAL type) pointed at the down angle so the sound would only be about 300-325 ft straight above her and that caliber of round is much more powerful than the AR-15 (.223 caliber) rounds he was also firing. He had some very high end guns with fancy flash suppressors and if the .308 gun had a muzzle break, with all the other echo surfaces around.......
Unless an accomplice had access to a window that opened and closed, alls we have is 2 busted windows on the 32nd floor. No other remnants of weapons fire from any other locations (yet).

It explains the other window being broken out. But unless those tanks held regular av fuel they would not have exploded. Jet (I fueled commercial aviation) would not unless the bullets were some type of explosive round.
Then again, maybe those tanks were empty.
It’s hard to even get gasoline to ignite. You need something incendiary like a tracer. Regular lead will just poke holes and dump fuel on the ground.
Needed FMJAPIT rounds for maximum bang bang.
