I posted this idea in June:
Let's ask Goodell to take a lesson from the Rio Olympics and form a non-aligned Refugee Team operated by the league-at-large to take in all the discards. Then let Kaepernick play for that team. Fill out the roster with all the other players rejected by the owner-teams. It can field the non-patriotic, wife-beating, dog-hating, gangsta players.
Now I'm thinking that the league should operate one at-large team following your diversity model. Each week, it plays a different team.
