GOP Bill to Import 1 Million Low-Wage Replacements for U.S. Food Workers
Breitbart ^ | October 3, 2017 | Neil Munro

House Republicans are expected to approve a gigantic “H-2C” guest-worker bill on Wednesday that allows the nation’s food industry to employ one million low-wage, foreign guest-workers — regardless of how many Americans would lose their skilled or unskilled jobs in fields, orchards, cattle ranches, dairy farms, forests, seafood ports, meat-packing plants, and food processing factories.

If you were listening to Brietbart News Daily, Louie Gohmert was on at about 0740 and said it was pulled last night for consideration. For now it is not up for any action.

We already have more than enough potential “workers” in this country. Getting them OFF THE “GIBSMEDATS” role and getting them to work IS THE PROBLEM. There are hundreds of jobs, filling those jobs is the big issue.

Solution? CUT OFF ALL WELFARE! YOU DON'T WORK, YOU DON'T EAT! END OF STORY!!!!!

Is this what you voted for back in November? What do these clowns not get?

Goodlatte said in an October 2 statement: "For far too long, the broken H-2A guestworker program has buried American farmers in red tape and excessive costs without delivering access to a stable and reliable workforce. It’s clear that the current program is outdated and broken for American farmers, and it’s well past the time to replace it with a reliable, efficient, and fair program that provides American farmers access to a legal, stable supply of workers, both in the short- and long-term, for seasonal as well as year-round work."

The Bizarro World is here. In the olden days, the preferred way to get "a legal, stable supply of workers" was to hiring them without government mandates featuring "red tape and excessive costs", especially when those government mandates were additionally "outdated and broken".

Talk about poor timing. But in my view for such bills, any timing is poor timing.

Doubtful. President Trump's businesses have benefitted from H-2B workers for years. He should be understanding for businesses relying on H-2C.

Meanwhile, I hear that many thousands of Puerto Ricans (US citizens) are moving to the US mainland searching for jobs. Okay. The fields are over there. Here’s a bushel, start picking.

“House Republicans are expected to approve a gigantic “H-2C” guest-worker bill on Wednesday that allows the nation’s food industry”

As bricks and mortar retail continues its decline, in locations and jobs, the only slightly growing retail business is the retail food business, and there is growth in the leisure and accommodation industry.

If those industries are to get all these new H-2C “guest workers”, what jobs are the laid off employees from the bricks and mortar retail businesses going to get? Then, you can all figure on a good many of these new H2C “guest workers” to intentionally overstay their visa and join the ranks of the illegals (and many will have determined to that before they even arrive).
