The biggest soccer stars in the world are known by one name: Pele. Ronaldo. Messi. The United States has never produced that kind of world-class talent, but a 19-year-old from Hershey, Pennsylvania, is poised to change that. Christian Pulisic is not only the youngest player on the U.S. National Team, he may just be the best American to ever play the game.

This week, Pulisic will play with Team USA as it tries to qualify for the World Cup. For the last two years, he's been playing professionally with one of the most revered clubs in Europe. We spent time with the young American in Germany where he is already a household name. When 80,000 fans scream your name, you better deliver.

This is Dortmund, Germany. Anyone who says that Germans are not emotional has never stood at the base of Dortmund's south stand. It's called "the yellow wall." ...

Yep, I’ve been following Borussia Dortmund this year. Bundesliga games are fun to watch, much better than MLS games.

Since i’ve given up on the NFL, maybe I’ll be more interested in the EPL, Serie A, and La Liga.

Soccer? They’re more left-wing and corrupt than the NFL. Never mind the game itself.

I’m hoping that none of this creeps into rugby, now.

Fox shows Bundesliga games. I am starting to gravitate to them more than the EPL.

Soccer - sharing the ball to achieve the goal, which may or may not matter. Just pass it around, comrades.

Football - you have the ball, so you better get the first down or the touch down. Or take a knee and get out of the sport.

Yep, and it's more interesting to watch the Bundesliga now that Bayern is not dominating the league.

I follow the Bundesliga now too (eff the NFL).

In my opinion, Pulisic is a better than average player in the Bundesliga. He needs to gain weight if he really wants to be a difference-maker. He gets pushed around way too much by the bigger, stronger defensive players

Did you catch the La Liga game in Barcelona that ended a bit ago? No one allowed in the stands due to the riots from the referendum vote today.

Really weird to watch a game in an empty stadium. (Is this the future of the NFL?)

Don't forget Ligue 1.

PSG with Neymar and Cavini is my favorite team to watch.

“Much better than MLS games...”

Hey,, that’s kind of a low bar to get over.

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Pulisic does look good though. I think Dortmund made a mistake not starting him against Real last week.

You just have to hope they don’t kill each other before the season is over.

Beware though, this crap just might be coming to European Soccer.....

Soccer players should copy NFL protest against racism, says Thuram

I view soccer the same way I view the metric system: theoretically sounder to the US' approach yet utterly rejected by Americans. Why? Because it smells like your pompous Uncle from Manchester who claims anything European is inherently superior to the American way.

Yes, the ego of the penalty kicker. I think it should be Neymar. So does Neymar. The coach thinks it should be Cavani. So does Cavini.

Still, PSG is seriously fun to watch.

And it looks like this year the EPL is going to boil down to the two games between Manchester United and Manchester City.

The speculation is that if Catalonia is independent, FC Barcelona will go to Ligue 1, since La Liga has already said that they would not be allowed to stay there.

They’ll probably be cheered if they do that.

Sorry; cannot embrace soccer. Even in Ireland, as bad as things have gotten there socially, they still call it “The Foreign Game”, albeit compared to Gaelic football.

Gaelic Football is awesome, I just watched the Final a few weeks ago, between Dublin and Mayo, with Dublin getting the winning point in the final minute.

Liverpool may play the spoiler.

Jurgen Klopp is my favorite coach. I tell my wife all the time to watch him. He looks like he should be in Kraftwerk, but acts like a member of the Sex Pistils. His animation is hysterical.

I like Klopp too, but he’s a Red, and I’m a Blue. (Yes, we’re terrible this year)
