A man accidentally started a social media war between two of London’s biggest museums.

During The Natural History Museum's Ask a Curator event on Twitter, one man had this pressing query he needed answering:

Who would win in a staff battle between @sciencemuseum and @NHM_London, what exhibits/items would help you be victorious? #askacurator

The Natural History Museum replied:

We have dinosaurs. No contest.

But then the Science Museum jumped in...

@NHM_London is full of old fossils, but we have robots, a Spitfire and ancient poisons. Boom! #AskACurator https://twitter.com/NHM_London/status/907917848722407425 …

This is funny and believable. Even highly esteemed historians and academics have a certain amount of pride and competitive drive. Their phrases may not have much slang or vulgarity, but the massage is the same; “We’re number one! Our team leaves your team in the cold, cold dust!”
I have seen some very talented, very accomplished musicians act the same petty way. That need to be ‘THE BEST’ or ‘the most correct’ may be their driving force.

Disney owns the Hulk but they also have the Death Star so I’d be careful with the mouse house.

Absolutely brilliant. Not many good things come from Twitter.

Disney didn’t even create Mickey Mouse.

It’s a monopoly and a “big dog” but house of creativity, not as much, certainly since Walt died but even back to the beginnings.

How refreshing to read such a fine example of humor and wit. It’s a nice palate cleanser in the midst of so many multi-millionaires whining about how they’re oppressed and Reason #952 Hillary has offered up for why she lost.
